omg yes and he’d be so very supportive which is why he calls his child “champ” because in his eyes, everything they do, everything they are makes them a champion.

I can imagine when his child experiences insecurity and self doubt, Lance knows exactly how to help, being someone who also experienced those type of feelings back when he was apart of voltron.

And when his child has their first victory/performance/any major achievement, Lance will just swoop them up in his arms and shout, “MAKE WAY MAKE WAY FOR THE MYTH. THE LEGEND. ITS (their name) FREAKING MCCLAIN. THE 8TH WONDER OF THE WOOORLD.”

In his eyes, everything they do, everything they are makes them a champion.
