There is a complete list of who was on J.ubilation’s Future X-M.en from the B.attle of the A.tom card game. The line up had a few surprises on there that weren’t mentioned in the comic, such as Lady M.astermind joining J.ubilation’s team.

Patsy dipped her head down again, obviously avoiding Jubilee ( this Jubilee ), and her brows knit together tight. Anxiously Patsy’s lips rubbed together as she chewed on the inside of her cheek. Imagining this Jubilee’s timeline, this other dimension, other world, other time and place, made her stomach lurch.

❛  We weren’t friends?  ❜ Her gaze eventually rose, but her vision was still out of focus, hazy. The thought that Jubilee and Patsy weren’t friends felt like a punch to the gut. She wrung her hands together, trying to obfuscate her watery eyes. 

                  She stopped for a moment. ❛              what am I like? In your world, I mean.  ❜

They must have been particularly close in this timeline if she was reacting the way she was. Jubilation had only met her a few times, usually during missions. But there was such a stark difference in personality between the two of them, that she had hardly even considered seeking friendship with the other. She hardly sought friendship at all after awhile.

❛  We weren’t. We never really spoke. ❜ She spent so much time recovering that by the time she was finally at a place where she felt comfortable going back out into the world, she was too different to really seek the same things she wanted in life before the incident. It was nothing to do with Patsy at all.  

How do you describe a friendship? Moments? Milestones? Days, months, years? Patsy dipped her head, eyelids fluttering closed for just a brief tick. ❛ We’ve been through a lot together. ❜ She smiled despite herself. All the capers, the shopping trips, the agency.   

❛ Jubilee      ❜ She stopped and met the woman’s gaze. ❛ She’s very special. ❜ Patsy stopped again. She? You? ❛ She’s important to me. ❜

All of this was foreign to her. To her timeline, her memory of events. Whenever this friendship may have bloomed, it surely happened in the years between when her timeline was destroyed and now. ❛ I see. ❜ She would have to look into this further, it piqued her curiosity.

Patsy’s expression temporarily faltered, brows knit in contemplation. ❛  How so? Like, why is she my friend? How we met?  ❜
