I'm still processing that people are saying this because they cared more than they expected to about what happened. And they aren't saying it because they thought the acting or the way it was shot or the direction or the VFX were bad, or that the dialogue was clumsy or out of character. They say it because it made them feel things they weren't expecting to feel.
Ik you've said that there's a story set and that's the story that's going to happen. but when fandoms, for example, get stuck on a one particular idea or an event, is there a part of you that's worried that people won't like it or be disappointed by or even be upset (if they've built up to this expectation in their head) because what happens isn't what they necessarily wanted? is there pressure? Or do u take comfort in your /confident?/ belief that their love for the characters and the show itself will triumph? Do u try to manage their expectations a lil bit ( Is that possible really? ) ? Just wondered how it felt

Iāve recently been going through some Masterclass and have decided to try my hand at short stories again. Iām curious to know what your opinion is regarding stories that do not necessarily provide ātraditionalā closure for readers (if such a thing exists).
When I was younger I quite enjoyed writing short stories that were a bit horror based and did not always provide total context or closure about what happened.
Obviously I will write what gives me joy to write, but Iām curious on your opinion of this - do you still consider a story to be whatever keeps people turning pages, regardless of what shape that takes?

Some of my favourite stories have endings that feel absolutely right but don't give a traditional or standard sort of closure to the reader. Entertainment gives the audience what they expect, art gives them what they don't know yet that they need. Give them art.

hello sir I've noticed you can see the pillars of creation in the scene before the beginning. I've found that it's about 5.5mln years old so I've been wondering if crowley and aziraphale have known each other for this long or is it something the humans have also been wrong about
The Good Omens universe starts in 4004 BC. But they spent a long time building it before they started it. So they knew each other for a long time before Eden.
We didnāt start this war internet users have with ads - We might have moaned about banner ads, but it was only when they started making noises when we might be listening to music or a podcast or whatever, causing two sound sorces at once, that we started trying to block ads universally rather than just a specific type of ad (pop ups).
And since then ads have gotten worse - Actual malware rather than merely breaking one of the fundamental sins of web design - though shalt not autoplay anything with sound. And the more aggressive a website is with āplease turn off adblockā the less I trust it to bother to vet ads and advertisers to make sure theyāre not installing malware.
Not to mention that the idea that avoiding ads is āfreeloadingā is hilariously backward. Advertisement is a transaction between the platform and the advertiser, the user has no obligation to provide the views/clicks the platform has promised. Using an adblocker isnāt freeloading in the same way that leaving the room to get a snack during a commercial break isnāt cheating the tv network.
Ok yāall, I work as a web developer and Iām here to tell you that you are 100% right and that itās shit. SO Iām going to tell you how to get around websites that block you from using their website if youāre using an adblocker.Ā
Every website uses a language called JavaScript; long story short itās a website language that allows developers to do the crazy shit you see on websites. Now the easiest thing to do is to disable JavaScript to stop them from knowing you have an adblocker:

I think my favourite line in season 2 is crowley's "he's far too pure of heart to be anybody's bit on the side" because any time we get to hear the way crowley talks about aziraphale to other people is a joy, but also it's just so genuine and full of so much love. he's not speaking about aziraphale with any agenda, he's just speaking off the cuff. it's ridiculously sweet. it's also hilarious because it's crowley's immediate reaction to nina suggesting that they're casually sleeping together and crowley's like, um no, we're not, but fyi if we were I would be treating him right!
It's even better because it would be SO easy to have him downplay how much he likes Aziraphale to everyone he talks to, and not even in a romantic sense.
In a show that cared less about its characters, he would be playing up how very suave and very cool he is and hiding his feelings by calling Aziraphale a dweeb and making jokes at his expense to the people around them. I mean yes, he does that with Aziraphale himself, but it's always done in a gentle, familiar tease.
But with everyone else? He doesn't even try to hide how much he adores him, how clever and special and funny and interesting he finds him. It's so deliciously sweet and earnest, but never in a way that feels overly sappy either. It's just a matter of enjoying the person you love.
