Original source Image description: Illustration of the Marsh-Marigold (Caltha palustris) from an 1835 Oxford botanical publication. The main subject is a tall green stem bearing three bright yellow, cup-shaped flowers with detailed central stamens. Broad, rounded dark green leaves with serrated edges are attached near the top of the stem. Below the main plant, smaller sketches show the flower’s parts, including a yellow seed head, a single brown seed, and a detailed dried flower structure resembling a spotted star. The background features faint printed text visible through the page, indicating the antique botanical book origin.
