we, as readers, have the luxury of reading every pov and therefore, everybody’s inside thoughts and why they do the things they do. the characters, do not. so before u start jumping onto any hate train by saying, i can’t believe xyz done this dont they know how much zyx loves them blah blah blah. they cant read minds! we are fortunate enough to get everyone’s perspective but that character has lone judgement! a big example for me is the gr graysonlyra/jameson beef. obviously WE know lyra and grayson haven’t done anything morally wrong by looking for answers because we read their povs, we know their intentions. jameson does not. to him, this probably seems like his brother choosing a girl over him/his family AGAIN (not that it’s graysons fault dw we aren’t blaming anyone here) but to jameson, who repeatedly warned his brother, it looks like graysons choosing not to care WHICH OBVIOUSLY ISNT THE CASE. and again, we read Jameson’s pov in pain at the right gun so WE KNOW what he went through so we know why he’s scared and giving all these orders. but all grayson knows is a surface level that his brother was hurt. he doesn’t know the true extent of danger, hence why he didn’t heed the warnings. BUT WE DO BC WE READ THE BOOK!
