                    dark eyes watched the green gem's  CAUTIOUS  approach,  a small palm  slowly  outstretched towards the thick fur of his  MANE.  though he could decide whether or  not  to let others reach into or even  enter  the portal he had stored within the  mass  of hair,  it was a general rule of his that only  STEVEN  was allowed to touch him there.  however,  steven himself had given the feline a  SPEECH  about how he was to make peridot  WELCOME  on earth, and so he did nothing to stop her  delicate  fingers from running through the  meadow  of his mane.

     the small blue gem smelled familiar to the feline. his nostrils flared as he began to SNIFF her. loudly.

     his ears worked perfectly; he was, in fact, IGNORING peridot. he didn't TRUST her... yet.

     lion began to approach the OCEAN gem, walking across the water as if it were SOLID GROUND.

     lion decided that there was the PERFECT spot for a nap, no matter what was happening around him.

     lion stared at jasper, UNIMPRESSED by her height and sharp teeth       after all, his were SHARPER.

     lion huffed a SIGH and turned his head AWAY, decidedly UNAMUSED.

     the LARGE feline had been wandering AIMLESSLY for days, and found he was in DESPERATE need of both a stretch and a claw SHARPEN. a large tree which seemed to have a settlement built into it seemed PERFECT, and he put his large paws against it's trunk to STRETCH the length of his back. then, as he dropped back down to the ground, left a pair of four large GOUGES in the wood.

     lion's PUSHED his face against garnet's hip, blinked up at her with his big ADORABLE eyes, pleaded with her silently. he wanted the LION LICKER she held in her hand, and was willing to BEG for it.
