Hi everyone! I finished my comic for my sequential art project at college and I wanted to show everyone. I removed some information from it, but otherwise it’s still the same. Hope you like it! :]
Also, I’m still writing a book, but I’m also planning to do other stuff as well which is mentioned in the comic. First time I posted in a while, so expect to see more content when I get to it eventually.

“Arrange” by Theia Lenore.
A short story about anthropomorphic chess pieces! :D For the final assignment of my drawing class last quarter, I had to make a comic based on the word “arrange,” so I thought of one about chess (March 11th, 2026). Initially, I was going to color it, but I thought I wouldn’t have enough time to, so it’s still black and white for now.

A short story about celestial knights! For another assignment, I had to make a comic based on the word “morale,” so I thought of this (February 25th, 2026). Due to better planning, I had more time to polish the artwork of this comic compared to the previous one I made based on the word “annual.” :]

As part of an assignment I had to make a comic based on the word “Annual,” so this is what I came up with (February 11th, 2026). :] I could’ve added more polish to some parts of the art, though I had to rush to get the comic done on time. Maybe I could redraw it someday…
Backgrounds I Made for “Star and Moon: Uplift to New Heights ~ The Elevators Group Animatic”
These are backgrounds I made for “Star and Moon: Uplift to New Heights ~ The Elevators Group Animatic.” I helped with finalizing the design of the elevator’s interior along with @sara_vinso and @tengubeefjerky, and I was the one who designed the elevator’s exterior (the elevator’s doors, the elevator’s door frame, the elevator shaft, etc.). I’m also the one who designed and drew the backgrounds for all the floors the elevator goes to in the animatic (the Lobby Floor, the “Lower” Floor, Moon’s Floor, and Star’s Floor).
I really liked adding the values to these backgrounds, and I also liked showing how high the floors in the skyscraper were in the sky based on what was outside their windows. The lower floors’ windows show the tops of the cityscapes while the highest floors’ windows showed that they were above the clouds. :] You can watch the animatic here:

Character Designs I Made for “Star and Moon: Uplift to New Heights ~ The Elevators Group Animatic”
I made the character designs of Star and Moon for “Star and Moon: Uplift to New Heights ~ The Elevators Group Animatic.” This was my first time making a Character Turnaround and Facial Expressions Sheet like this before, and it was fun designing the characters! :D From the concept art I made, Star was likely going to have pink hair and Moon was likely going to have purple hair, but my group didn’t have time to add much color to the animatic. “Portrait Study - Project 4” by Theia Lenore
A portrait study I did using charcoal for a life drawing class at college (March 15th, 2025). This was the first time I did such a study and I like how it turned out! I also did a full-figure portrait for the class that I’m really proud of, but I’m not sure how to share it here since it shows the body without clothes on. However, I’m glad I can still show some of my work from that class! :D
“The Peafowl Butterfly” by Theia Lenore
Another college project I did, this time from October 10th, 2023. The assignment was to create a hybrid creature that was a combination of a large animal and a small insect. We then had to make a sculpture of our design using only man-made materials.
I chose to combine a butterfly and bird together: the Chinese Peacock (Papilio bianor) and the Indian Peafowl (Pavo cristatus). Since they’re both known as “peacocks” I thought a hybrid of the two would look interesting, and after making concept art of the design I created the sculpture using cardboard.
"Leve the Wishing Bunny" by Theia Lenore
First post of this year! :D I’ve been busy with college work so I haven’t posted much, but here is something I made from November 14th, 2023.
The college project was to create an anthropomorphic hero for a toy company’s new line, along with a “heroic” backstory for them. I decided to create the character Leve the Bunny, a “Wishing Bunny” who came from the Moon to help make people’s wishes come true. Their balloons are filled with stardust, and they’re known to give them to others to make their dreams come to life. So if you see a bunny floating around with colorful balloons, say hello! It may be one of your happiest days. :]
This was the first time I made anything with an armature and polymer clay (Sculpey), so I could do better next time if I try to remake this. For coloring it I used acrylic gouache (Holbein).

“The Rainbow Scooter and the Vacation at Bay” by Theia Lenore.
The final comic I made this year for college (November 13th, 2024)! :D I decided to make the story about the scooter I drew for class, and despite having to rush to finish the comic in time I like how it turned out. :]
The assignment was to use all the props we’ve made for previous assignments in a comic, which includes a vehicle and a gun. To make that work, I thought of a story about a woman who makes weapons for her home on an ice planet, but dreams of riding a rainbow glass scooter in another world for vacation. :]

The rainbow glass scooter I made for a college class (October 23th, 2024). :] The assignment was to draw a vehicle, which I thought it would be cool to make one out of glass. It was difficult to make, but I love how it turned out! :D
To make the colors of the rainbow gradient consistent I used layer masks on Clip Studio Paint so it was easier to use the same colors for each part of the vehicle’s highlights without having to do that manually. I was thinking that the scooter ran on some kind of star power that enables it to run without an engine and hover above its wheels. I also thought that when one drove the scooter it would leave a rainbow trail behind. :] 🛵🌈
Traditional paintings of parrot feathers and gold flowers by Theia Lenore.
More traditional artwork! :D I made these for college on May 20th, 2023 (painting of parrot feathers) and May 31th, 2023 (painting of gold flowers). For the parrot feathers I used acrylic gouache for the majority of it and used POSCA markers and colored pencils for details. For the gold flowers I only used acrylic gouache. I used public domain photos for these assignments, and I remember being worried about how I would use acrylic gouache for these paintings but I think they turned out well. :]
A collection of old still life drawings by Theia Lenore.
Hi everyone! These are a collection of still life drawings I did for college classes ranging from October 19th, 2022 (still life drawing of a shoe), November 21st, 2022 (still life drawing on beige paper), December 9th, 2022 (still life drawing on black paper), and April 16th, 2023 (still life drawing on white paper). The shoe drawing was done using pen hatching while the rest were done using charcoal. All but one of the drawings were made by drawing from life objects in my house, while the drawing with books and gaming controllers in it was drawn by referencing a photo I took of objects I had that were arranged for a composition I made.
After looking at some of my old artwork I can see how my drawing skills have improved. I think the still life drawing with the books and gaming controllers in it is the most accurate to life, while the still life drawing of glassware is the most beautiful in my opinion. Overall, I like that these drawings I did for college assignments introduced me to charcoal, since these drawings were the first time I’ve used them for art. :]
“The Detective Rose” By Theia Lenore.
A noir comic I made for college (February 7th, 2024)! :] We were supposed to make either a noir themed, horror themed, or a mix of both themed comic that was black and white with hard lighting and high contrast. The only color we were allowed to use was red, but it had to be sparingly. I decided to go with a mostly noir theme for my comic, but I included some elements of “horror” through mystery and tension.
The comic had to be drawn using white on black (black paper/canvas with white pencil/tools as an example) instead of the usual black on white. I thought it would be cool to only use red for the rose to highlight its significance in the story, and I liked adding the lighting and details through hatching. Overall, I love how the comic turned out and think it’s one of my best works so far! :D

“The Power of Hostess Fruit Pies” By Theia Lenore
Another project I did for college (January 29th, 2024)! :D The assignment was to make two traditional comics about Hostess Fruit Pies that were identical to each other, but one is inked with brushes and the other is inked with pen nibs. (Comic inked with brushes on the left, comic inked with pen nibs on the right.)
I created two characters for this project who I thought could be from a traditional fighting game who sometimes spend time together outside the arena. After making thumbnails for the pages and a floor plan for the comic, I used a blue pencil to draw it on a bristol board and then traced what I already drew to another bristol board so I could ink the comic twice. I remember thinking that inking with brushes was easier since I could put more weight into my lines, but even though I never used nibs before doing this project I found them relatively easy to use. Overall, I prefer the version of the comic that I inked with brushes, but I also like what I achieved with nibs. :]
“Shooting Star Finds Star Kid” By Theia Lenore
I decided to share the first comic I made for college (January 17th, 2024). This was also the first comic I made before besides one comic I’ve made as a kid from what I remember. The assignment was to make one digital art comic and one traditional art comic, which both would tell the same story but from a different perspective. I had to have no dialogue though you could add only one speech balloon or caption. I decided to only share the digital art comic of the story which has a color version and a black and white version.
Since this was the first time making a comic digitally I experimented with blending modes in Clip Studio Paint so I could render faster than how I normally would for my other artwork. Initially the lettering was different, but I changed it so it would be more proper. Adding color to the comic was optional, but for some reason I did that first and then made the black and white version afterwards. 🤷 Anyway, I’m still happy with the comic despite the initial errors I made in it. :]
