they're out there turning draco x hermione handmaid's tale fanfic into published novels but i have to hear people complain about how gelphie is evil because galinda's mean to elphaba for the first hour of act i and they slept through the rest of the movie where she grows and basically fulfills all of elphaba's heart's desires

not like you get any woke points for wanting certain fictional characters to fuck and not others, but 90% of "i don't like gelphie glinda was a bad friend" takes just literally do not engage with what happened in the story. "she never stood up for elphaba" that's quite literally what the ozdust is and there's nothing in-text to suggest she was a bad friend who made elphaba uncomfortable between that and defying gravity and if you try and argue otherwise you are just projecting i'm sorry. "she let them burn an effigy of elphaba" there is quite literally a scene where glinda tries to save elphaba and elphaba makes her promise not to clear her name because elphaba's heart's desire is to help the Animals and she would rather glinda do that. wicked spends far more time confronting glinda's biases and complicity than i see with most redeemed bad boy love interests, and compared to a lot of enemies to lovers glinda is relatively tame in terms of harm inflicted

I really don’t know what crowd I expected to be in the theatre for carol at 1:20 in the afternoon on a friday but it was probably 85% old people, old het couples and halfway through the movie this old lady in front of me turned to the old dude next to her and just said “harold they’re lesbians”

what if you were GAY and your girlfriend was the personification of DEATH and then your SON died and she had to reap his SOUL or whatever because it was her JOB and then you never forgave her but she still LOVED you and then you projected your GRIEF onto a random teenager while battling through DEATH trials with PATTI LUPONE
