Recap: a few weeks ago when UC poached that case from me and went around lying to all our other coworkers saying that she “offered to take it off my plate” because I was “so stressed and overwhelmed” - knowing damn well I did not know she was working on it nor did she ever ask me if she could - she got chewed out by our branch manager for it. Then UC texted me a few days later saying “Apparently I misunderstood, I feel terrible, let me know if you want to talk about it.”

And I didn’t respond. Because there’s no conversation to be had if she’s going to keep lying! I’m not interested in discussing it if she’s just going to continue to bullshit me. If she had texted me and said “Hey, I realize that was wrong of me and I shouldn’t have done it, I want to apologize” then I absolutely would have been willing to meet with her. But it wasn’t a misunderstanding, like she’s trying to claim. It was her taking a case from me and then lying through her teeth about it to make me look bad and to keep herself from getting in trouble for taking it on without permission. And it’s not the first time even RECENTLY that she’s (falsely) put me down to make herself look better in comparison. So I’m just not interested in being lied to & manipulated further, let alone by someone who has repeatedly insulted me in front of our entire office and isn’t sorry about it.

Anyway…the new update as of this morning is that she is going around the office telling everyone I’m not speaking to her. Which is also not true. I have been perfectly polite and civil, I’ve greeted her in the hallway every time I’ve seen her. I’m an adult, I don’t have to personally like somebody to be professional toward them. And our work doesn’t overlap much so we don’t talk a ton to begin with, there’s not really any reason to and never has been. Also - I’VE BEEN OUT SICK!! I have hardly been here at all for two weeks!!!
