I am a teacher at a crossroads. I am in my last week as a learning disabilities teacher at the first school to take a chance and hire a new teacher. It has been a long four years of fighting for my students, but it's now time for a change.
Next week, I will start summer school. I LOVE teaching ESY! We somehow cram an entire day of teaching into just three hours, send them home, and do it all over again.
In August, I begin my next adventure: emotional disabilities teacher. I fluctuate between over-the-top excited and what-was-i-thinking nervous.
What I know for sure is that the kiddos need me and I am anxious to meet them. Cheers to a new adventure!
