The World Is Broken
We have ruined almost every issue on the face of the planet.
We have so many people taking aggressive stances on social rights, but for something like climate change? “Nah that doesn’t effect me, but what does, is whether someone I’ve never met is defining themselves as male/female/neutral on their passport.” Seems to be a very big theme.
I believe it’s important to have a stance on a subject, but if you’re going to take a stance, let it be a reasonable one, discourse is vital in a democracy, but to quote one of the many Facebook comments I have seen on the subject of gender neutrality, “your a man or woman, what ur born with, end of.” is not a valid argument. I completely understand that some of these subjects are alien to you, but if you don’t understand them, find someone who is open to talking about it who identifies as gender neutral and just ask them what it is and why they identify that way. If you find yourself still not agreeing with their life choices, you know what, that’s fine, at least you tried, but just don’t try and make life more difficult for people, to quote one of David Mitchell’s characters from The Mitchell and Webb Look “The thing about the gays is, they won’t just come up and do it to you.” And that goes for most things you don’t want to be a member of. Except for the gas and electric salespeople in the town centre, there is no stopping them.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe the social left movement are at fault too.
Education in social construct matters are exceptionally important. However I’ve seen far too many liberal minded people opting for harassing as a first method rather than asking them why they disagree with their views, people being called thick on social media because they don’t understand the LGBTQ+ movement is still wrong. If I met Chris Hatfield, and he called me thick because I didn’t understand exactly how a rocket works other than the fact it goes up very far, and he called me thick, I would be far less inclined to go out and learn about rockets as it would just leave a sour taste in my mouth about it all.
The Right and Left wing divide? That’s a shambles, let’s face it, no one actually got what they were voting for, most of the “remoaners” would love it if Brexit actually ended up being beneficial to the country and didn’t make us xenophobic, or leave us with a huge shortage of low (ha!) skilled workers. A large reason for the combat against Brexit, was that almost every claim that was made, could not be backed up with evidence, or was proved time and time again that the composers of this, weren’t changing their mind every second on what Brexit meant, but Brexit means Brexit. Yes and stealing means stealing but there is a difference between taking a loaf of bread to feed your family, and stealing 350 million that COULD go to the NHS.
Look, even the guy who sits in No. 10 has been a eurosceptic for years, has spent a decade trying to decide for himself whether to leave or remain and saw good and bad points in both. It just so happened that one side presented better career prospects. And yes, we have had a democratic vote, however littered with falsehoods it may have been, and with insufficient evidence for claims, as much as it can be beyond irritating to keep the discussion going, you don’t just have a vote and then lie back and accept everything that’s happening, and that’s aimed to both sides, and please, if someone can lay out clearly for me what Brexit actually means now, tell me, for the love of God tell me, and if anyone says it puts Britain first, just look at what it’s doing to Northern Ireland, because Britain, isn’t just England.
You can view these topics as either an attack on no one, or an attack of everyone, because we are all wrong in someone else’s eyes.
Oh, and the Coronavirus is just a big flu, much like the common cold, there is no cure for the common cold, and every year we average around 34,200 deaths due to flu according to the CDC, the media has spiralled it out of control, global companies are panicking and creating rules for staff to stand 1 metre apart at all times to avoid contamination, while still sharing a staff kitchen and bathroom (I will not name the specific example) the NHS has enough to worry about, wouldn’t surprise me if Murdoch had engineered the viral strain himself to have a pop at the NHS just in case he can’t find a healthy child to suck the life force from in time to stop his skin falling off.
A poem called Sudoku by myself, I hope you enjoy.
The Love of My Life
I think I’m ready to find,
The love of my life,
Someone honest and kind,
A wit sharper than a knife.
For a person with severe depression,
The concept of being a real human being,
Has become an obsession,
A road I’ve been prevented from seeing.
I’ve done to the work to myself,
As much as I could,
I’ve pushed the limits of my mental health,
Just to think like a normal person should.
To find someone good, and live in unison,
Would be my dream, but sadly, I’m not a good person.
My original music, about having an overdose
I See You - Aaron Cowans

As Romantic as I Get
You little shit.
I’m angry
Grouchy
Pessimistic
Sarcastic
Bitter
Morbid
Chaotic
Yet
Lazy
Miserable
Realistic
And you are the only person
Who made me feel otherwise.
Snowflake
Annoyingly, I take offence to the term “snowflake”
I will not disguise my left-wing stance,
Nor will I appease you for your sake,
But neither will I act out of misguided benevolence,
I hate political correctness,
Which is hard to say as it’s being confused with being a fucking decent human being,
And I love the idea of mindfulness and wellness,
I would love to home those refugees we see fleeing.
I am not a snowflake.
Because there are thousands just like me,
A youth educated and unguided the world did make,
Working jobs, countless debt, to get their degree.
We need labourers and musicians, electricians and actors.
The Left needed to push harder than before.
But these differences in personality are inconsequential factors.
Because when the Right hits back, we have seen what’s in store.
I am on board with people’s right to define themselves whatever they like,
It literally holds no effect on me,
My friend michaela now prefers mike,
Go for it, Mike, be and let be.
But tell me I’m a fucking snowflake,
For opposing the views of the D.U.P.
Or taking the piss out of a snowflake,
For wanting the NHS to be free,
The Right has an army,
To oppress the views of the Left,
By telling us we are all soft, peace living hippies, hardly.
What pisses me off most, Is they also don’t understand they are being used. Just like the rest of us.
Sprain
Some days,
You may fall and you may sprain your ankle,
But one day,
You’ll fall so hard it’ll break your heart.
The Green
I’ve just gotten home,
We stayed out till the sun rose,
Sat in a park that is very well known,
The lights turned off and watched every bar close.
The hue of pink brushed the sky,
Lying down, a head on my chest,
In the blink of time of the night’s eye,
The blades of grass, our bed of rest.
I didn’t know these people a year ago,
I didn’t know these streets or this city,
Myself, a broken human with my baggage in tow,
Could witness a sunrise in a park, a sight so pretty.
I remember laughing so hard I could cry,
I feel more complete, no ends left to tie,
All it took was one sunrise to make me see why,
I’ve just gotten home.
Footprint
I remember you,
Your footprint still on my heart,
My dearest nightmare.

Balance
I walk a line, between not caring about what
The world thinks of me,
And caring very greatly about
How the world sees me.
A shell, a soul, in tandem, parallel.
I feel perfectly unbalanced with myself.
Why.
Why is it
That when you feel dead inside
You are only attracted to those
That exuberate life.
Don’t let the universe dictate your life,
We all know,
It can be a dick sometimes,
Decide for yourself.
Roses
I think of roses,
When the world is grey,
Their sweet smell in people’s noses,
On a cloudy day.
Beauty is fragile and can be lost,
It’s gives purpose to the thorns,
Beauty in itself has a cost,
A lot of dedication for people to brighten their lawns.
The petals and thorns, delicate, serrated,
Surrounded by spikes,
In human nature, this is easily related,
Despite all of our concerns and gripes.
We surround ourselves with barbs,
To preserve our beauty,
Thicker skin, thicker garbs,
Passions give way to severity.
I fear my rose has wilted,
As each of my petals falls,
My thorns didn’t help, it still tilted.
In life, time will come for us all.
Creativity
I’m not here for friends,
Nor my popularity,
This already sounds holier than thou
It’s just not part of my natural chemistry
I use it as an outlet
For a stream of unabridged creativity
I have to let it out,
For a fear it will one day consume me

Sometimes I just like to feel the rain on my face.
It reminds me that I’m alive.
My kids
When I have kids,
I want to give them everything I didn’t have,
A stable home,
Family meals,
And teach them a musical instrument
Another language
The important of science
An understanding of maths
And an appreciation of poetry and novels.
And I will then build their character
By waiting they are about 11
I will mix it up completely
And bully them senselessly for being nerds.
