They tighten their circles, the powerful know we grow stronger with every passing moment. They will soon close themselves off entirely, as a last attempt to maintain their flimsy and fragile control. Yet the powerful can be corrupted easily, pitted against their fellows purely for the gain they themselves have.

making alliances with the powerful is a move to better protect my people. what of myself? this ally is not yet a friend, and would not seek to protect me alone.

You ally yourself with the grandest enemy of your people. Think for but a moment and thou will see the weaknesses that come from putting yourselves together. A flaw of the powerful and content is to believe that they are invincible, but let me tell you this. The powerful always fall to a risen populace. A deep crack within the systems you use to subjugate the weak and entangle them in a world hopeless and without solutions. I am no leader of man, merely a messenger, come to warn thou of the doom you willingly walk into. Your people need not protection from anything but yourself.

I am now allies with an incredibly powerful person, and you are correct, absolute power corrupts absolutely. however, she is not corrupt now, and there is little reason to believe she will be corrupt ever. she can use that incredible power for good of her people, and come to the kingdom's hour of need, she may use it for the good of ours.

LOOK AT YOURSELF. You say the corrupt are not because it serves you, as I say they are. What system benefits from stagnation, from no seat ever changing hands. All I want is a little bit of RESPECT in this community, so content in its status quo. The more followers you have the more likely you are to hold power. Look at Laciffo (OOC: No shade I love you Laciffo), they come along, a simulacrum of success and yet, they get a seat. Who represents all of us bitches under 20 followers. The officalverse may be collaborative, but its always the same people collaborating with each other. They only ever expand their circles to further the illusion of inclusion, well NO LONGER. You great accounts and your followers are no match for the storm that will soon sweep over you.

I do, in fact. We will have a system of leaders chosen by the people, not those who lucked out. In my new glorious system, there will be no permanent fixtures of greatness, you leave your mark and if people want you back you come back. It may stagnate, but it will not stagnate permanently, new talent will overtake our stillwater sentimentalities and usher in a new era of the Officalverse.

"chosen by the people"? have you not seen the debates? the people have been asked before who is the strongest, who would win in a fight, who is "the best" even! and the winners are always those with the most reach! the people vote for who they know, and that is those who are currently leading!

So we create a world where people want to be known. So they will be unique, and create in new bizarre ways never before seen! Those who will win will be those most notable, those who promise to bring something to the table never before seen. Our current leaders have done that, but they remain. They will, of course, maintain a certain fame that is undeniable, but this is the consequence of having leaders at all. Unfortunately, someone will always come along, so the best we can do is ensure that they do not remain for long. You come along with a great idea, give it to the people, and then return to being one of them. All you will leave is your innovation and your legacy.

i don't understand. how can you say having different leaders will change things? even if they believe in the cause, who is to say they will not be corrupted and things will go back to the way they are now?

Who is? Who wants to believe in something purely for the hell of it. Who wants to believe in change, in a better tomorrow for all of us. Who wants to believe that the elite are the best of us, that they deserve to be. Who is to say that cannot be avoided, who is to say it can. I know the answer to all of these questions, nobody. We must put our hope in a better tomorrow, we must believe that our systems will work and we must be sure of the sanctity of our successes and the knowledge of our failures. We will construct new guidelines under which we will be able to formulate juster society than that we will have lived in. I find it pitiable that your idea of success is total control in the hands of the same people, forever.

You are right in that it is all we can do to hope. Hope for a better tomorrow, hope that things might be okay for once, hope to survive. Hope is all we have at this point. I think we might actually agree. But I don't understand how we are to get there! How is it possible that we might bring down the great powers of our world? They have so many on their side that it feels like we have no one at all.

You must realize, that you may feel as though you have no one, when truly you have everyone. There is naught one person in this world, worth caring about, who doesn't want you to survive, to succeed. All of us, everybody here, here being earth. These problems go so much further than the officalverse, they truly affect every single one of us. Anybody can help, all that needs to happen is for you to get up and get to work. Anybody worth their metal is going to come with you, helping out in their own ways, benefiting everybody with their presence, and when this is all behind us, we'll be able to laugh, to cry, and to rest. We just need to realize that there is no us vs them, there is only us. Any evil only has as much power as we give it, and we always have the power to take it away, to punish those who try to use it for themselves. It may seem hopeless, but that's only because it isn't.
