i think it's beautiful that cats eat you if you die in your apartment and nobody finds you for a while. i don't know why it's used as anti-kitty cat propaganda as if eating you means they don't love u. if i died and no one found me for a while i would want my kitty cat to eat me bc i love her so much and i don't want her to starve. it's not her fault i'm too dead to give her her fancy feasts. she's going thru something scary ok. i don't know a single cat owner who doesn't feel the same way

man i totally forgot how weird people are about the “female orgasm.” like when I was younger i heard it talked about like an anomaly of science. and specifically people would ask shit like “what is the ‘evolutionary purpose’ of the ‘female orgasm’”. i dunno man its not hard to conclude that sex feeling awesome results in having more sex. but I guess that question seems more interesting if youre a fake intellectual and see men and women as different species and not made up of the same flesh and nerves. come on now.

I ended up having a really interesting conversation with some people at the bus stop today. They were getting out of some sort of ‘clean and sober’ meeting and had starting saying how they were so bored because they didn’t have anything to do, and had to stay at home because all their old friends would pull them back. So I said something like, ‘So this is the time to do all the stuff your parents told you they didn’t have money/time for!’ “Whatcha mean?” “You know, like when you were five and you REALLY wanted to have that toy or do that thing and you were like, ‘Please mom please I gotta have this I gotta go do this’ and they went ‘Hell no you think I’m paying for that do you want to goddamn EAT?’ “ And this light went on in their eyes. The lady is going to go check thrift stores for an Easybake Oven and I told her about Wilton cake decorating classes. The dude is going to Griffith Park and ride horses, because, ‘I always wanted to be a cowboy, and you can’t drink when you’re on a horse ‘cause you’ll fucking die!’ Fuck it. This is what being an adult is. Sure it’s bills and work and relationships, but damn it, it’s also time to do the things you LIKE. I signed up for a free class/lecture on Water Gardens. I’m going. love when you go to an aquarium and you really hit it off with one of the fish

One time I went to the Seattle aquarium and I brought my sketchbook and mechanical pencil. As I was sketching, this long fish camouflaged to resemble grass approached and became fixated on my pencil. I realized what it was looking at and brought the pencil closer to the glass, twisting it back and forth, and the fish started mirroring the movements, tilting itself vertically. I wonder if it thought it was another longfish, or they respond to "thing that look like grass" with "now look like grass", either way it was really cool.
