mwtfdydgate but the whole ensemble’s hanging out in the basement going over something serious then hopper says something that gives will a diabolical flashback to this stupidly hilarious inside joke him and mike had as kids and no one understood it but them and starts violently shaking trying to contain his laughter and then mike looks over and immediately gets it and loses it and dustin and lucas are like oh not this again and mike and will are just dying and mike leans in to whisper something to add to the joke and will starts going red and that makes mike laugh even more and buries his head in will’s shoulder to hide his blush and will leans into him out of muscle memory and jancy are smiling to themselves cos they remember this happening all the time when they were little and the rest of the group are just staring confused but mike and will haven’t laughed so hard in years and suddenly it feels like yesterday they came up with the joke in kindergarten and they just have one moment between them where everything else and all those years and horrors disappear and it’s just mike and will laughing at their stupid little joke

All people involved in the upside down shenanigans, especially will who was taken advantage of by the government got a ton of hush money from the government so they can literally do whatever the fuck they want for the rest of their lives. I’m giving my boy Will what his heart desires.
