I think what continues to draw people to the x files all these decades later is that Mulder and Scully are coworkers. like. all the insane shit they do for each other, and the whole time they're just. colleagues. sure, they're best friends, but we hardly ever get to see them hanging out together outside of work. they drop the craziest flowery monologues that could easily be mistaken for love confessions. but! they're coworkers. so they're like ok, see you monday at the office. they go to hell and back to rescue each other, both of them taking turns being Orpheus and Eurydice. but they're coworkers. they're the most important person in each other's life. they just work together. it's frustrating. it's beautiful. no one's ever done it like them. possibly because it's the wrong way to do it. compels me though

these get reposted a whole lot from here to reddit to twitter to tiktok and on and on, and i don't personally care whether or not i'm credited. i made these for everyone to use, enjoy, and find meaning in them. i appreciate folks who do credit me, but if able, please at least link to the threadless shop in the previous post - folks can get an official shirt where 90% of earnings go to trans led orgs focused on mental health (which is an important matter in general, but very personal to me) and not from a scam bot site selling AI-churned maga garbage where you probably won't get one anyway. i also suggest downloading the files from my ko-fi - they are free/PWYW and you can use them to make your own shirt, patch, embroidery project, whatever. tips are always nice, cuz i do like a pizza now and then, but never required for download.

final thought - breaking the pride tradition and more than likely won't make a new piece. the top one from TDOV is all i'm making this year. i have my focus on other projects currently and i don't want to force a poster design. these came from a specific head space and my current head space is Very Tired lmao so i wanna work on other things. 👍

actually fucking disgusting that glasses cost any money like if you actually think about it for more than a few seconds it is so unconscionably inhumane. this goes for things like insulin and mobility aids and hearing aids too ofc but fuck man, fucking glasses? the thing you need to fucking see? its genuinely sickening and inhumanly evil that those cost ANYTHING.

I love how hard they committed to having the light source/s outside the ship spin while the centrifuge is active. I didn't even register that's what was happening the first time I watched, and I was kind of confused why they had such weirdly overdramatic lighting with no explanation.

but once I figured it out!! yes, the entire universe outside of the ship is rotating every few seconds. and yes, if there's a bright star or planet nearby that would cause a very disorienting cycle between bright light and total dark. and that's just what life would be like there!!! no apologies, no mitigation, not even any direct explanation for the audience. they just made it real and accepted the consequences

look at this one:

that's about SEVEN SECONDS of unexplained total darkness, in the middle of a full-face shot of the main character during the emotional climax of the film!!!

Oh my god. Okay I didn't have this account when my daughter was extremely little and took some star wars action figures (Phasma and uhm. Poe Dameron. I keep forgetting his name soon perhaps you will know why) and named them SuperGirl and Gun (our favourite play centre is a kind of free play gymnastics place and they used to have adult gymnasts dressed as superheroes do a little routine for the kids, her favourite was dressed as SuperGirl)

And they would go on adventures. The adventures looked like this:

Gun has been eaten by a dinosaur. SuperGirl was going to rescue him. But she's tired

Gun has fallen off a castle. SuperGirl is going to catch him

Gun is in a car and SuperGirl is going to put him in jail. He shouldn't be in cars

Anyway there were so many adventures of Supergirl and Gun, I can't even tell you. This is why Poe Dameron is just Gun to me, I'm sorry everyone

Anyway we were playing Barbies today (she's sick from school) and I was sooo surprised to see Ken was invited. We were playing so I pretended to be Ken asking for some cake and she's like "KEN! YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO SPEAK AT THE DINNER TABLE"

So I'm glad to say the SuperGirl and Gun energy has continued

I don't know who needs to learn this but, the chemical causing the stain in tumeric (Curcumin) is easily destroyed by uv light. You can remove stains by leaving whatever shirt, cooking dish, etc stained by it in full sun for like half a day and it'll be gone.
