Early mornings by the water.

Something is coming. Something hungry for blood.  A shadow grows on the wall behind you, swallowing you in darkness.

I come from a place of wanting to be politically correct and not wanting to offend people, but I think art is meant to offend. It’s not friendly. It’s supposed to be something polarising and sometimes hateful. I struggle with this purgatory of wanting to be politically correct, wanting to be sensitive to the feelings of people and respect them but at the same time I have to make art that provokes. It can’t be safe. The people I am working with understand now, and see that this is a project that has the opportunity to create cultural change.

Everything was quiet except for Ron and Hermione’s slow, deep breathing. Harry glanced over at the dark shapes they made on the floor beside him. Ron had had a fit of gallantry and insisted that Hermione sleep on the cushions from the sofa, so that her silhouette was raised above his.
