So to make up for being MIA for so long, I return with gifts in the form of the longest MBtM chapter yet - a pretty important one too X) I hope you'll bear with me just a little while longer as I finally update and catch up with messages after far, far too long away <3

“I'm a killer, Peter,” Sylar said softly, “it's all I am.” Watching him, Peter swept his drying hair behind his ear where most of it refused to stay put. “I used to think that. Now I'm not so sure.” Sylar struggled to hide how deafened he was by the lack of alarm bells in his skull ringing 'lie'.

The closer he gets to finally finding his father, the more Sylar can't help but wish he could take even longer to get there...

I know I promised this chapter a while ago, and here it is, the longest one so far to thank you for your patience between updates! X) I look forward to sharing these events of the story with you and hope you think it was worth the wait!

Sylar blinked down at the strange sensation, struggling to process the even stranger sight of Peter's fingers around his. “You stayed,” the hero croaked, like the thought had only just occurred to him. His hand, a minute ago so capable and steady when saving a life, trembled slightly in Sylar's. “Thank you.” Perplexed, the killer glanced at Peter's face. Before remembering he'd been actively avoiding making such a mistake.

Stranded in the wilderness, Sylar begins to reconsider his previous stance: perhaps some heroic deeds can exist without personal gain?

I said I'd be back in the new year with an update to MBtM - it's still January so technically I kept to my word hehe ^.^ Enjoy chapter 7!
