A quick breakfast to fortify me for the busy afternoon ahead: avocado toast, rubbed with garlic and walnut oil, a fried egg & a handful of blueberries.

In-N-Out: Two Double Doubles (Animal Style), two orders of fries (one well-done), two sodas.

Any exceptional brunch at The Hungry Cat, today: Beer battered squash blossoms stuffed w Dungeness crab, fava bean purée, fennel & radish salad & Crab cake Benedict, charred broccoli, house-smoked bacon. Coffee, OJ.

Lunch yesterday at Zankou Chicken. This is the Chicken Tarna Pita Wrap with Pickles.
