Okay cool project alert: Rewilding Chile has been rehabilitating two Andean Condors found in 2020 that were unable to fly or survive on their own. In January 2022 they're going to be translocated to Patagonia National Park to be released. The goal is to satellite monitor and research these vulnerable birds, and begin to understand what is leading to their decline, promote their awareness, provide education and better understand the species.
They're currently at $110 raised of a $10,000 goal (as of the 13th of December 2021!) You can donate and learn more here!
P.S. these sweeties are called Pumalin and Liquine!

September 30, 2021 - Rufous Motmot (Baryphthengus martii)
Found from Honduras south to parts of Brazil and Bolivia, these large motmots inhabit mountain and lowland forests. Foraging alone, or sometimes in pairs, they eat a variety of fruits, insects and other invertebrates, and small vertebrates, sitting motionless on perches and capturing prey in short flights. Pairs probably dig nest burrows in earth banks. Both parents incubate the eggs and care for the chicks.

I wonder if you or your wonderful followers can help me. I've been trying to figure out what bird this is from.
Found on the pavement in town, Midlands in England. I know we get red tails in the area. Its about three, three and a half inches long. Found in a pretty built up area but not far from a very small pocket park.
I know we get a lot of small songbirds but it seems big for them and we get wild woodpigeons and feral pigeons but I cant see it being theirs.
That doesnt belong to a raptor and I don’t know european birds, sorry
We think it's a golden plover now! One of my other bird nerd friends got back to me. They come inland when you head into winter. They're funky lil dudes
I agree with golden plovers. I've found several of those feathers here as well in NL. 😊
September 6, 2021 - Black-billed Mountain-Toucan (Andigena nigrirostris)
These toucans are found in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru in mountain forests. Usually foraging in pairs or small groups in the canopy of the forest, they eat fruits, seeds, and some insects. While little is known about their breeding behavior, they likely nest in tree cavities and both parents may care for the chicks.
