Oh, I remember this one! Well yes but no - I remember seeing the manhua on which the donghua was based in that one Google Files folder that was shared around, containing a massive archive of inflation images. There were pictures of the inflation gag, I remember the hairdo... I was not aware they had brought those into the animated version - or that there was an animated version at all... When Kunitoshi’s enemies arrive at his hideout, they have a hard time recognizing the aikido champion in this fat man that burps all the time. After a sumo joke, and seeing that Kunitoshi know can barely move and easily falls on the ground, losing balance because of his new weight, they attack him. But his fast calories burning ability manifests, and fighting is enough physical activity to make him slim down extremely fast - his stretched pants now falling down his legs.

Something I forgot to mention in the previous chapter - Kunitoshi is known to burn calories really fast. Hence why the girls thought they could give him a lot of food, and never thought once of him getting that. It will play out in the next chapter

The girls who brought the food now regret their decision. They wanted Kunitoshi to feel good and help him regain his strenght by bringing him a lot of Japanese food. (Because he is a very picky eater that only appreciates Japanese food and complains about everything else). But, ironically, switching frozen and processed food to natural and organic one is what made him fat. Because they couldn’t have guessed that he would be so into the food that he would stop exercising and just stuff his face all day. And they warn him that he is eating too much, that he already regained his strenght and that now his weight will be a handicap in combat. But he doesn’t care and just says he’ll fight his enemy with sumo techniques. And he goes on eating umeboshi, sardines, natto, ramen, curry…

Kunitoshi only spends his time resting and eating and, as a result, his friends start to notice that he is growing larger and larger…

Chapter 81 of Aiki. Kunitoshi, to rest and treat his wound, is now living in an isolated house on the countryside. He and his friends are supplied with a lot of fresh products - Japanese rice, horseradish, umeboshi - which is a welcomed change after a diet of processed and canned food. Kunitoshi stuffs his face, devouring plates of curry and six big bowls of rice, claiming that he has to eat to regain his strenght.

Chapter 80 of the manga Aiki. (Thanks @luffywg for the mention of this manga) In this chapter our hero, Kunitoshi Joukyuu, a Japanese food obsessed expert martial artist, gets beaten up in a fight and has severe wounds. This will lead to a scenario quite pleasing for us, fans of the chub.

Turns out later In the episode that the villain of the week was a monster that increased human worries to ridiculous proportions.
