summary: Lilith’s already banished to hell but god isn’t willing to give up Lucifer that easily so he resorts to a new (at the time) method of cleansing a soul by dunking them in holy water and for an omnipotent being he sure didn’t see this coming

Samael (past Lucifer’s pov)
All I can see is darkness what happened? Am I dead?! Ok calm down Sammy think, last thing I remember Micheal took me to a room my dad said something about holy water
and- when did my whole body fall into the water?!
I shot up coughing violently as I tried to regain the gallon of air that somehow got taken from my body.
Once I regain my breath I look around for my dad and micheal hoping they can tell me how I somehow slipped and fell in the water, when I come to the terrifying realization that I am not in the same room as before.
“Where am I?” I croak. My voice is still raw from coughing (and probably also from screaming-)

too late now, i try to sprint away but just end tripping over my sopping wet robes and falling flat on my face just as she opens the door
so much for my dignity I think wryly the girl from earlier, a blond woman in a red suit who is maybe my age give or take leans down to help me up.
“are you ok dad what happened?" I stand up, careful not to slip this time “um im sorry i think you may have me confused with someone else im not anyones dad”
she looks confused then looks me up and down, realization dawning on her face then replaced by worry
“vaggi! we may have a bit of an issue here!¨ if it's even possible i get more confused ”what issue? Is everything ok? i swear i dont mean to intrude i have no idea how i got here if- if you want i can leave no!”
She cuts me off, eyes wide with fear, then she takes a deep breath and tries to smile even though it's very strained “you dont need to leave, everything is fine we're just trying to… help you get home! yeah thats it”
“Charlie, you said something was wrong, everything okay?”Another girl comes in and I sense a strange energy from her not angelic but not evil…something else
she notices me and her eyes go wide
“holy shit samael!?” she yelps in surprise Charlie makes a slashing motion across her throat I back up cautiously
“How do you know my name?” I ask
Roughly 5 minutes ago in heaven Micheal’s pov
Samael and I walk through the hallowed halls leading to the courtroom as we prepare to hear his sentencing
“don’t. Don’t do that” don’t make this harder than it already is I think and open the door.
Father and Gabriel are waiting there “where is Lilith.” Samael demands
“her sentencing is already complete it is time for yours.
Fortunately I have decided to be merciful towards you as you are my son” he rolls his eyes
“fine” I watch as father picks samael up and places him in a tub of water
“Micheal if you could” father says and gestures to the tub and I walk over
“Micheal it doesn’t have to be this way please” be begs I push samael under the water,
my hands linger on his chest ´i don't want to do this i just- wish i knew if everything would be ok´ I realize one minute too late that the water is glowing.
I back up ‘ohh what did I do?’ A bright light flashes blinding us for a moment and when I look back samael is gone replaced by an older being with blonde hair and a scarred torso I look closer wait..is that? “Sammy?” I ask hesitantly he inhales sharply
