The spaceship launching amidst protests and pandemic make me think of when I’m playing Civ 5 and get a science victory. I’ve almost always left my people unhappy, my economy ruined, and the world at war.

One of the best things today was watching the cashiers face of relief when I yelled at my dad to back the fuck up. Like, cash register had a sign to stand behind the line until the cashier sanitized and set up the machine to take it for you. Of course my dad didn’t read it and just barged right on up shoving his phone with Android Pay into the face of a 17 year old cashier being forced to work through a pandemic for likely minimum wage. The face of relief on the cashier as I yelled at my dad to back the fuck up and follow directions was great.

TL:DR Be nice to essential workers and respect their personal space.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but don’t be racist during the COVID-19 scare.

My mom’s friend was out shopping when a (very not asian) woman came up and started berating her for not wearing a mask. Asian businesses in my area are suffering. Some people are refusing to interact with anyone who looks Asian.

Asian-Americans have been through racism already. We’re fucking sick of it. We’re not flea-infested rats; we are actual people who most likely have never been to China.

And if you’re not Asian and see someone being racist and giving a poor schmuck a hard time for having squinty eyes and dark hair, tell them to knock it off and they’re being a butt.

Yesterday I noticed a 6th grade student going around the cafeteria saying “hello there” to random people. Every time the person would respond with a confused hi or hello. He finally made his way to me.

Him: Hello there.

Me: General Kenobi.

Him: Finally!

After that he ran back to his friends shouting, “I found a man of culture!”

These ads... let me just say something. The game they’re showing in the add is a fun looking game. I would play that game. Give me a puzzle like that and I’m set. But when I click on the add it’s a completely different game, not even similar in concept. Like, why make an ad that’s nothing like your game. Where is my fun puzzle game?!
