Throwback to researching different styles of editing using this site. After research, I decided to use fades as the main way to jump from scene to scene within my fashion film as this was the best way to blend clips. 

An example of coptic binding... I decided to use this technique to bind my zine, using red thread as a metaphor for making a new identity, and the colour red linking to the idea of “POWER”.

Introducing “GUARD”- A fashion film based around the emotion and power within the Drag community, portrayed through contemporary dance. The name “GUARD” comes from the word “DRAG” spelt in reverse with “U” merged within, as drag is all about expressing who you, or “U” want to be. 

Having an strong bio or profile section on social media is another way that a social media account for a brand can be more effective. Brands such as Nike have created a personalised hashtag, #justdoit. This keeps people interested in the brand and makes them stay loyal. Keeping the bio like an elevator pitch, describing what the business or brand does in one or two sentences can be an effective way of marketing and keeps interest in the brand.

The message behind this collage is to show that drag is a distortion of one’s image, a chance to not feel limited and the ability to express yourself in whichever way you want. 

The sections of torn writing on the covers juxtapose the idea of going by the book and what people expect, instead creating your own story and identity. The discolouring effect on the back cover, represents the blurring of the lines with expectations of identity, creating a unique style.
