Journey

Well, I've finally reached it. So this is what it feels like. The question is, how did I get here? I feel my best hardening and breaking at the same time. What a wonderful human feeling to experience, but not something I would wish on anyone. My soul cries out, but cannot be heard. Why? Because I'm broken, in fact I have been for many years, I just hadn't realized it. I became so good at covering up the wounds I fooled myself, but now the damage is really done. Perhaps this is the punishment for all my past mistakes. Mistake being too small of a word to describe the things that I have done. I don't know what this means for me moving forward. I'm not even sure why I wrote this. I guess my second question is, when does it end?
