Hello and welcome to the first (to our knowledge) fanzine dedicated to the Deca! The Deca was a concept invented by Gary Russell in his 1999 Past Doctor Adventure, Divided Loyalties, which placed the young Doctor at the Academy as having been in a sort of clique known as 'the Deca' with nine other Time Lords, some who we'd seen before, and some who Gary invented. This idea has spawned an entire sub-fandom of its own — which often overlaps with the Academy Era fandom, complete with fanfiction, memes, video edits, fanart, and so much more!

This project aims to celebrate this fandom, and its subject, in the form of a fanzine. Said fanzine will be available to purchase on our site — please check our FAQ and keep an eye on this Tumblr for more information, including how to contribute and when the zine will be released.

Any profit will go to the charity The Malala Fund.

The interest check is now open. Fill it out now! The interest check closes 9th of December GMT. It’s a three-minute form to let us know what kind of merch you would be interested in, and what prices you’re willing to pay for the zine.

You can submit stories, poems, essays, illustrations (A5), and more! Wordcount below 5k preferred. Merch artists welcome! The focus needs to be on the Deca. Don't feel like you have to stick to 'canon'. Canon does not exist. Absolutely no genAI allowed.

Multiple submissions are allowed but limited - see FAQ. No NSFW - use TV Who's tone as a guide. We aren't Torchwood! Do not publish your successful submission outside the zine until one month after the order period for the physical zine ends. Doing so directly harms a charity. Style guide and more info TBA.
