HELLO CITIZENS!

To all of you who take daily medication for any number of reasons and may struggle to take it consistently, I have recently developed a strategy to take mine that has worked so well that I've been three weeks straight on my meds!!

My previous setup: have food nearby that I can make and eat to take my medicine.

Why it doesn't work: If I have to sit up or god forbid get out of bed, it will be AT LEAST another hour before I eat and take my meds.

New Revised Super Cool Plan: Have food on my makeshift nightstand that I can eat:

1. In bed

2. While laying down

3. With my hands

4. In the dark

I usually choose things like cookies, brownies w/e that i can get at the cafeteria the night previous, but as long as it fits those four points? Golden.

As soon as I wake up to my alarm, I don't even sit up. I just roll over, shove a cookie in my mouth, feel over my pill-minder to count which day I'm on, dump it into my mouth with the masticated cookie, swallow, and roll right back onto my right side until it kicks in. (Right side kicks in faster than the left btw)

It has genuinely started to completely change my life and I wanted to share in case it helps anybody else. I wish I started doing this years ago I am so so serious. You might get crumbs in your bed but you can deal with that when you are MEDICATED FULLY AND READY FOR THE DAY!!

I bought a bag of chilli heatwave doritos for the first time in ages. I dont really buy crisps all that much.

Why i come home to the corner of this packet bust open. And I know it was my cat son. He came out to get fed but he aint showing face to me coz he knows damn well what he did.

I managed to salvage most of the packet, since he only got to the corner. But still... also, he does this annoying thing on occasions when he does steal crisp packets. And it's bring them onto my bed and eat them right where I sit. So I got home from the gym wanting to shower real quick and eat before my food got cold. But nooooo, I had to clean dorito crumbs off the damn blanket covering my bed.
