“Huh?” I muttered the word as I opened the front door. Who would even be coming here now of all times? I would have waited until James got the door instead of moving myself since they were usually guest for him but he was out right now. I couldn’t help but stare at the stranger standing on the porch. I could only guess this petite energetic looking girl knew James. “Um are you here to see James? Because if so he’s out right now…” I said a bit awkwardly.

“Oh the decor..? I guess it can be distracting.” I said as I looked around. There were a few things that would catch a persons eye in here. “It’s not as clean as it could be right now… I hope it’s not too cluttered. I can always move some things around if it is.” I muttered a bit at the beginning.

“Ah, no, it’s fine! It’s a lot tidier than some places I’ve been to” It’s also pretty interesting to see what kind of environment James and Monroe live in and figure what implications that had for their personalities and relationship but somehow, she felt that would probably be best kept to herself for the time being.

“No it’s good you took a break. I hope it was relaxing for you and that you feel less stifled.” I said. It was good to hear she was taking some breaks. It was much better than just working day in and day out. “What did you do during your time off? Did you read any books or go anywhere new?” I asked.

“I did a bit of travelling! It was rather pleasant scenery, even if I’d seen some of it before” In retrospect, she should have taken some pictures of the locale, or even gotten some souvenirs to show and give people. Oh well, now she’d keep that in mind for next time.

“Hey! Does anyone wanna… wanna drink? I got bottles- Bottles aplenty!” swinging the bag off her shoulder, a distinct clattering could be heard. Really, she had hit the bottles way too hard, drowning out any self restraint she had with an unusual amount of booze. How ridiculous.

“It’s pretty fun, yeah! Probably better as a social activity but you do what you can! Or rather I do, because it’s hard to keep any actual friends in this day and age” ...She was probably speaking too frankly now, thinking about it. Should probably stop speaking... nah.
