Y’all what if the Monster IS the girl on the altar? We’ve been assuming that the Monster was a man in the past, but I dont think a gender was ever specified. So easily, it’s possible that Monster inhabiting men for the past season has been a misdirect. (I mean, Hale has been calling it Jennifer) But whatever was happening to that girl was some kind of ritual, and the bowls with the rocks and all the gods were there. I could see whatever was happening there be some kind of trapping ritual, or whatever sick thing was happening to her. And it would explain the Monster’s hatred for that war god and vague protectiveness for innocent girls in its speech and the whole “they call me a Monster, but he’s the real monster,” And wouldn’t that be awfully tragic for an innocent girl to have been warped into this Monster for centuries? (That reveal on the finale would be very tragic) AND I think the writers could find a way to tie Julia and her story line into this, with helping an innocent girl who was hurt by a terrible god. LISTEN I know I’m a little drunk right now BUT THIS MAKES SENSE.
