Chapter1 pt2
The first time case of interest
Was the Anita Bennings case:
Original:
A child was hit but not permanently injured by Ms. Bennings.
Change:
The child was not hit, but her car came within inches of hitting the child. Ms. Bennings did not know the child was not hit until she came around the front to assess the damage.
Result:
The child’s and his family’s life remained virtually unchanged up through the present day.
Ms.Benning’s life altered dramatically from her original timeline though ending with a mental breakdown. She never remained married as she as had in the first timeline. She caused injury to a bus load of people by locking then inside and taking them on an anger fueled rampage through the city.
After the Bennings case more research projects were started in order to find out why Ms. Bennings behavior had changed so much by preventing her from injuring the child. Since the injury she caused was to the child was so minor it was decided to leave the original timeline intact. Until this case most of the situations affected remained unchanged.
More exact details are in the case file itself.
Dr. Malcolm ended his presentation to the new class of time theorists.
