'Candid' the exhibition

felt like it looked a little off it needed something to make it more raw. I just needed to find the right font for the title. Hand written seems like it would look visual better and draw attention to without taking away from the mirror.

Kim and Michaela’s task 

As well as the blurb on that is being printed on reflective mirror card we are now adding to the ephemera with the one question each the questions, to be answered on the wall through writing. So they know what is going on when entering, it will be handed to them as a conversation starter and 

Questions - which may not make to much sense as a file uncut

 it will be printed on partially see-through paper, intentionally to compliment the mirrored card and not make it too much for the eyes.

Last minute we also decided to add an image of the room all done before, the chaos as a memory piece

It is being bound with ribbon that Michaela and Kimberly found while Kate and Johani were setting put further, to add to the fun, warming experience. Overall it is really starting to feel like a kids birthday party and I’m loving it.

The start 

“Candid is experienced as a moment in time, a moment manifested where you recognize your physical being within a reflected space. We are not always aware of our physical self. We can recognise parts of our self, our hands when we type, our clothing covering our body as we get dressed, our feet when we take off our shoes and socks and so on. Set in a home, a space that we recognise as safe, you enter looking into a reflective surface, you become aware of your physical being; your full physical bodily presence. It is unlikely we would recognise ourselves the way others do, our expectation is embedded to the cultural society. You become the artwork. Candid is homely, jarring and a positively un-voluntary invitation and recognition of your truth”.
