Living in the paddock back on the island was the normal life to her and sisters, that was until now. This was her new normal. A normal her sisters would never get to experience, that sad reality haunting her every second of every day. But she was greatful for every second of this free life that he had given her and she was going to live it three times harder for her sisters. âAnd look at me now! Living without restraints! You fought and fought for me to have this life and Iâm so so proudâ
She took a hold of his hand, squeezing it gently âI know you will and I know you are, itâs what worries me sometimes..â her words slowly trailed off. She smiled back at him, warmly and reassuringly âyouâve done soooo much for us! Do you remember when we were little? How youâd bring a new toy every time you came to see us? Or the times when me and Echo would fight and youâd tell us off?â She laughed, allowing her happiest memories take over her mind.
He had tried so hard, to keep the girls safe. That was his only job in the end. Keep the girls safe, and make sure that InGen didnât destroy them. He had fought so hard to make sure they werenât some âfailedâ experiment that InGen threw away. And he hoped that he done a good job with that. Â
He looked back at her, nodding just a little at her. He knew it worried her, that he would do that. That he would give up his life, to save her. He would in a heartbeat if he had to. She was the most important person to him. He had to smile at the memories, nodding at her.  âYou all used to destroy the ones I gave you so quickly. I had to keep bringing them to you.â He took in a breath at the mention of the fights with Echo, sighing a little.  âI felt so bad when she got hurt. And I know you did too.â
She let out a heavy sigh. There were so many times they would have been used, scrapped or destroyed if he wasnât around to protect them. She was more than greatful for him. âI didnât mean to hurt her. She just changed... she didnât want to listen to me anymore and always challenged me for leadership. I donât know what happened or why I got so aggressive with her... she just went for me and I tried to defend my place...â ,she let out another sigh, âI just hope she knows that I loved her. So muchâ
She had so many regrets, so many things she had wished she had done better. That was just one of them. After the incident was all she remembered of that day, mainly because everything else she had buried deep away, never to remember again. She remembered how he had stepped in to protect Echo, how he had saved her sisters life after her natural velociraptor instics had kicked in. âThank youâ she said after a long few minutes of silence as she reflected âI never actually got to thank you back then, because I was too young.â She paused to think some more âno, actually, thank you for everything. In fact thank you doesnât even begin to cover my gratitude for what youâve done for us. You had to deal with four velociraptor babies that soon turned into velociraptor kids that could also shift to human, and you still never left... you taught us how to control ourselves, how to walk, how to talk. You accepted the role of our dad and never looked back... thatâs amazingâ
