He had wanted today to be special. And he knew it may be a little cliche to do this on Valentines, but sometimes it was also the best time to do it. He held his breath as he waited for her answer, his smile growing big as she said yes. Slipping the ring on her finger, he leaned closer to her, kissing her lightly.

If anything the reason Kayley hadn’t expected this was because of the fact that it was Valentines day. It was the most proposed to holiday besides Christmas from what she knew and Owen always seemed to like to do the unexpected more than the expected but that seemed to work in his favor this time because for him it was a surprise. At least that’s what she felt anyway. Her smile barely moved when he kissed her, grinning still as she pulled back just enough to look at the ring on her hand.

He smiled softly at her, the smile growing as she turned to face him. One hand rested at her waist, and the other on her baby bump, as he kissed her lightly.

He liked seeing her so excited about the sword. Knowing it was an unconventional gift to most, for her it was more loved than flowers he knew. "Anywhere in time huh?" He took in a breath, smiling a little. "I have a few ideas on that."

He smiled softly at her, shaking his head just a little at her. "I get to spend every day with you in my life. I don't need anything else."

Felicity had only put the music on to have something playing in the background before while she worked but like usual she eventually found herself moving to the music enough that she would much rather have a partner no matter how silly she was just being a moment before.

Her hand extended towards him she asked to dance purely just to see if he'd join her silliness but the look he was giving her suggested he was more than amused with her. He was in love and just seeing that in his look made her heart skip a beat. He didn't have to say a word he was already taking her into his arms and moving with her.

Quinten was someone who's friendship literally snuck up on Felicity. He had started out as just a thorn in Oliver's side all those years ago when they had kept the truth from him. It wasn't until the truth came out that he became someone she could call a friend and losing him now... after everything he and his family had been through... it broke her heart.

She thought he'd at least make it through the surgery. But no he didn't make it through the surgery and Oliver barely made it to hear the news before the government was wisking him away to prison. Diaz got away and literally the only person she felt she had left by her side was Owen.

At least she wasn't completely alone.

She was still adjusting to it all, having a home again, and someone to look after her. The hole in her chest left by her father’s death still ached, but with Owen there the girl had slowly begun to heal. Now, standing in the dim light by his bed, she looked like any child afraid of the monster under her bed. Except her nightmares were all too often memories, trauma relived over and over again.

“I was in the woods,” she sniffled, climbing onto the bed and tucking her face into his chest. “I was lost and I could hear them coming for me, the men from the Shop, and if they found me they’d shoot me like they shot my daddy, and I kept running and running but the woods all looked the same, I couldn’t get out.” When she had run from the wreckage of the Shop the woods had been her escape, but it had taken days of exhaustion, wrong turns, bug bites, and scraped knees for her to find her way back to civilization.
