Stills from 'Bizarre Times with the Bedroom Witch: Episode 4:: Missing Shadow I somehow managed to film this alone in my bedroom with a broken tripod/write a bullshit storyline that still doesn’t even make sense to me/edit 12 mins worth of the footage + make soup in a day and a half + now I have to be mentally “there” for work today even tho I’m wired from this/don’t even know how or when I fell asleep last night / / / my original plan (or lack of a plan) was to make quick visual projections for a fest I’m performing at in Santa Ana this saturday (Transgress fest) but I started thinking a lot about a 40 min video story I made 3 years ago and got really nostalgic. I guess this is what decided to come out..

doing care work for your loved ones and strangers but not setting enough time and energy aside to do that with yourself can be scary.  I think my own experience with this neglect is not always prioritizing my ongoing process of self love which ends with me feeling like I can’t even deal with myself when I actually put aside that time to reflect ///

new bedroom witch track to start the summer / / talking about working with my limitations in a queer body + how much patience/emotional labor goes into describing these limitations to loved ones/strangers/anyone I interact with.  I’m feeling so jaded at 23 and it really terrifies me thinking about how much I allow this world to weigh me down when I have so much energy inside of me
