Sylwia shrugged. Perhaps it was a contradiction, but most contradictions were true in their large world. A lot was allowed to happen when they could protect themselves with drawings and fight otherworldly creatures because of angelâs blood in their veins. âYes.â She nodded. âBut oneâs upbringing doesnât mean anything if they donât have the drive to give it rise.â Sylwia disagreed with the last statement, knowing that she felt very little in the way of fear. She was dangerous because she was suicidal, a liability to herself and all around her.
Perhaps, it was projecting. Sylwia respected books, but in her day to day life, she hardly bothered to read one. She had trouble disappearing into their world or finding their information useful when experts were at her disposal. Should she be creative enough to seek them out. âIâm sure. Youâre different. Iâm sure some would call you schizophrenic by way of misinformation.â However, most experts and scientists werenât very good at their jobs on any day. âNo, because thereâs nothing to see or hear.â Sylwia said, humming. One could suppose that she had the option of being a friend, but she preferred extended conversation. The end felt closer.
âComplete bullshit.â Sylwia said, almost smiling despite herself. Almost. Instead she glanced at the other, deciding to say, âItâs obvious.â Most philosophical things were, but Sylwia had no idea how to communicate that to the other as she said, âWe have to appreciate what we have. Sometimes it only takes a moment to lose it all.â Sylwia knew that all too well, and she did not favor a repeat for herself or anyone else in her life on that front. She kept herself out of peopleâs hearts. âYou can say that about anything.â Sylwia said, sounding annoyed before she nodded.
âPerhaps. It wouldnât be a bad life if you were happy.â Otherwise Sylwia didnât favor her chances. âAnd youâre worried about peopleâs frowns?â Sylwia asked, raising a brow. âPractical purposes?â Really? âTry black hair or blonde highlights next time you find a rune for it.â Just because she wanted to see his reaction to it and see if his stance on practicality changed. âYou can always dye it back.â That was the beauty of hair dye. âYes, but will any of us be alive for several years?â There was something fun about going out to buy such things. It was one of the few times she actually enjoyed going outside. Although if they didnât have the color it quickly began an annoyance where she simple bought it online like she should have done in the first place. âIf you donât end up in purgatory.â Sylwia said, not favoring any ideas for what the afterlife might have held for her with her . . . history. Her âcopingâ methods werenât just unhealthy, they had been dangerous to others. âOnly in the short view. After a time they are turned to sand and dust.â
Alec considered her point a moment. âNo it always has an impact; even a mundane in a supposedly regular family- would be impacted by that family. Medical history, the opinions they might form and so forth.â After all he didnât chase down what he got for being born with his last name. Yet received it all the same, baggage as well.Â
He wrinkled his nose some at that response as truthful it perhaps was. âMm only the mundane ones; but there would be a lot of assumptions before that.â Just shrugging his shoulders in response to it. Not much he could really say to that sentence.Â
âSometimes bullshit is only that if you want it to be.â Unable to help an raised eyebrow at the rest however. Certainly shared that same logic, pretty common when you were raised to know could die pretty young. âEasier said than done however.â Little shrug of his shoulders, âNot quite but also not worth debating.âÂ
He thought it over. âPerhaps, but then again what does happiness really mean? When itâs not a static image.â Crossing his arms. âNever said I was- oh thatâs easy just the general glamour rune.â Going quiet a moment as considered how he has said it. âHmm Iâd consider it but youâd have to try see my point of something in return.â Not sure for a little how to respond to it. âCanât tell the future, who really knows.â Chuckling unable to help it. âWow purgatory not sure what I think of all that- but I probably wouldnât get the final cut into there.âÂ
âAshes to ashes and all that, poetry technically.â
