The Twilight franchise was basically a great cast all trapped in hell together

we all bounce from media hyperfixation to media hyperfixation but we retain our Types of character who we consistently become obsessed with

It's so weird for me like. During the whole series they made the volturi out to be this powerful force that brought down Romanians and everything and just. Managed to stay in power and enforce law throughout centuries. And then comes like a group of random ass vampires from all over the world, most of them being not properly trained to fight and... win? This is so wild to me and that's the reason why I'll remain a shameless volturi apologist

I think they "won" because that one vampire on their team (the Cullen team) had the power to...like...make her wishes come true? Ima go find my copy of Breaking Dawn and double check

Oh, okay, well I get that , but I still feel like there should have been a logical way to do it? Like the other side doesn't immediately just become incompetent, they could've played with idk, surprise wolf attack or whatever, you feel? And it still wouldn't stop Chelsea, lets say, from using her power on Alice or even Bella and Edward when they were close, or anyone else, like jasper, when he was standing there, too? It's all odd to be honest and it has a lot of weak points/holes.

I think it’s also the fact even if the Volturi had won they would’ve lost too many vampires and gifts in the process. So for Aro it was a simple choice, between walking away and staying in power. Or fighting and ultimately winning but still losing power which would in turn make him weaker and more susceptible to being overthrown.

Imagine if after 80 years or so Bella and Renee run into each other both as vampires
