Gilbert Baker added a 9th stripe shortly before his death, with the new stripe representing diversity. He added this stripe in reaction to the 2016 US election. It’s unfortunately not as well known as the 8 and 6 striped versions.

They're the ONLY surviving NONDAMAGED form of the show. In the late 90s, the masters from which the show is printed were damaged with a red-pink hazy filter.

So. Good luck buying them even if you find them. They're some of the most valuable collector's items in the entire franchise.

Scrolling through all the pride month posts here and on insta and like 99% of the ace stuff is like “no sex for me! Ew sex! fuck sex! Leave me to my cake!” Etc which like… is true for SOME aces but not ALL

People are really still like “being ace means lack of want for sex” and it’s like no it’s the lack of sexual ATTRACTION which is different !! Sexual attraction does not equal libido !! You can be ace and horny !!!! (<-And that’s NOT what demisexual is either because that’s what people think that is ahhhhh)

And I know the people making the posts are coming from a good place but I get so excited to see the ace colors and then it’s like “I HATE SEX” and I’m like ugh that’s not me and that’s not RIGHT
