Nadia’s Upright Ending CG was updated!

I have tagged this post as The Arcana Spoilers. If you haven’t tagged it please do. I have compiled info from the official devs of the Arcana so these WILL happen in the next book. Scroll past if you don’t want to know things beforehand.

The writer confirmed there will be a Muriel cuddling scene. Plus a favorite minor side character will make a small cameo.

The background artist is working on a giant forest with looming tress that features a cave that also has bull statues .

The illustrator said the new CG is her favorite and can’t wait for us to see it.

From the previous updates, I’ve tried to figure out the general update schedule of The Arcana’s new 3 routes.

Between Muriel’s book 7-8: 29 days passed

Between Portia’s book 6-7: 32 days passed

Between the prologue-Lucio: 33 days passed

So, generally it takes about 30 days for a route update.

Based on this,

Muriel Book 9 out on July 5

Portia Book 8 out on July 19

Lucio Book 7 out on July 26 (give or take a few days)

1) In Julian’s route, what’s up with the weird dungeon elevator that wouldn’t open for us that Valdemar found funny? That weird plaque before it saying only those with bloody hands can open it?

2)WHO/What is Scout exactly? Briefly Asra says they might be the Fool but in Nadia’s route Devil tells MC is the Fool?? (I know it’s theorized as the white dog in the traditional Fool card but having an explicit statement would be cool)

3)For Asra’s route, what’s the weird talk about shadows blending into each other, MC either becoming the Scout, the Devil or sth else? It was never fulfilled because no matter what ending we don’t become something else.

4)Also for Asra’s route, why did Asra remove Muriel’s chains and what’s its significance?

5)What happened to Valdemar and Vulgora at the end? Did MC unbind them as well?

6)Why did Nadia fall into sleep? Yes, it was the ritual but why sleep specifically while Julian and Asra lost memories?

Asra’s route:

Upright: Morga attacks the Devil and it turns out his physical form is in his realm and not in the ritual room. Asra and MC go to his realm where they beat him and he’s turned into a statue. A month later, Asra and MC are returning back from an adventure and they go to the palace. We speak to Portia, Julian, Aisha and Salim where everybody’s working on improving the city and just teasing each other in general. Aisha playfully scolds Asra, revealing his last name to be Alnazar. The end.

Reversed: Devil teleports Asra and MC to our place of choosing, Asra’s oasis but not before Asra’s parents promise to save them. After being teleported they don’t come and Asra says we’ll have to trust them for rescue and wait. There, MC spends a lot of wholesome time with Asra. Cooking, pillowfighting etc. but weird but minor things keep happening like MC forgetting the name of Nopal and pools in the oasis that slowly disappear. After an undetermined amount of time they hear weird voices coming from a pool and when they go over to it they see Aisha, Salim and Muriel speaking. Aisha says they wouldn’t abondon us, Salim says surely they aren’t safe but finally Muriel says no they’re gone. Asra asks MC who they are and MC says they can’t remember it either. They go back into their home. The end.

Nadia’s route:

Upright: MC and Nadia go to Devil’s realm and they go through multiple illusions/traps to get to his throne room. Fight ensues and Devil is forever trapped in a statue. About a month later, Nadia and Nadia’s family is taking a stroll through the market where they have sweet banter. They come across Julian, Mazelinka, Portia and Valerius. Turns out Valerius stepped down from the council, Julian and Nadia are working on clear water and just general improvement of Vesuvia. Later, Nadia and MC speak alone on the bridge where they first kissed. They speak about how they changed each other’s lives. The end.

Reversed: Nadia offers MC to the Devil in exhange for a lot of power. Devil accepts saying he’d love to have the Fool’s power. When Nadia receives powers, she attacks the Devil outright and rips his heart out of his chest. MC puts that same heart into Nadia’s chest and Nadia’s transformed into the Devil. After some time, MC remarks on how lonely they are in this giant realm and MC just keeps on working on their magic. Hierophant comes and says Valerius is running Vesuvia now and Asra, Muriel, High Priestess etc. misses MC and Nadia both. After giving the news, he leaves. Finally, MC breaks down the gates of the realm, making it possible for Nadia to visit wherever with MC by her side. The end.

Julian’s route:

Upright: The crew faces a lot of traps like a spell that makes the crew fight each other and a weird acidic swamp. But they finally make it to the Devil’s throne room where a fight ensues. It’s quite climatic especially as Julian at one point walks through fire to reach for MC. Devil is finally defeated and locked in a statue. After some time, Julian opens a clinic next door to the shop and as Asra has moved into the palace MC and Julian live together in the shop. They clean up the shop and have cute theatre moments but they later pack up to go to Nevivon. At the docks, Nadia and Portia agree to go on a date as Mazelinka screams at them to get in the boat already. They all take off to visit Nevivon with a cute pirate Julian CG at the end. The end.

In Asra’s route: Eaten by the courtiers in Book XIX - The Sun. The Devil looks visibly annoyed at the courtiers in Judgement, telling them to ask before eating someone valuable.

In Nadia’s UPRIGHT route: He’s banished from Vesuvia for good as he runs away.

In Nadia’s REVERSED route: He’s killed by Nadia with a sword. Later, Mercedes & Melchior appear all bloody and in visible distress. Nadia coldly remarks they must have gone mad from their owners’ death.

In Julian’s UPRIGHT ending: Nadia banishes Lucio from Vesuvia after being turned into a human. He runs away.

In Julian’s REVERSED ending: His physical body is taken away by the Devil, later his goat ghost form is consumed by the courtiers.

Asra’s route:

Upright: Sabotage the ritual by putting MC’s blood into the wine. Everybody gets free of the magical compulsion and Devil’s plan goes to shit.

Reversed: Asra, MC and Muriel try to escape to the forest but the compulsion overtakes them and they go to the ritual. When everybody drinks the wine and it’s MC’s turn, the Devil offers a deal. If accepted, the Devil will teleport Asra and MC to a location of their choosing away from the ritual’s consequences.

Nadia’s route:

Upright: Nadia banishes Lucio, decides to bind Devil by redirecting his own powers to him, wholesome Asriel content, wholesome marriage proposal, wholesome Satrinava family.

Reversed: Nadia kills Lucio, decides to take Devil’s place as a Major Arcana, MC follows her, in the Devil’s realm Nadia offers MC as an offering in a deal

Julian’s route:

Upright: with the power of their love and support of their friends MC will direct Devil’s powers against him, he gets scared and runs away to his realm, the cast goes to the Devil’s realm where they fight and banish Lucio, about to take on Devil himself.
