Wilting

Taking in a deep breath, Iris escaped her stuffy apartment and took a step outside, deciding that a walk would do her good. Outside of work, she spent most of her time indoors working on novels she had little to no confidence in, and a break every so often wouldn’t hurt, would it? 

Her wandering was practically aimless, seeing as how she had no idea where to go from here on out. A pleasant little walk with no set goals...yes, that sounded even better than knowing where she was going. She’d let life take her wherever it cared to go, and she’d follow along. Clutching a book against her chest, speaking happily to seemingly no one but herself.
