Black Salt

This was one of the first things I ever tried making when I started my practice! Back then all I had was table salt and a charcoal drawing kit for the charcoal part. I find it still works just fine so that's still how I do it, just adding incense ash since then!

Ingredients & what for

Table or sea salt - cleansing, protection, banishing.

Charcoal (I use the charcoal sticks from a charcoal drawing kit and it works just fine.) - protection, warding, cleansing, purification, banishing.

Incense ash (I tend to use dragons blood, frankincense and myrrh in general so I just save the ash from any I use for this recipe.) - protection, banishing, cleansing.

Putting the salt together

Find a jar, cleans the jar, pour all your ingredients into the jar, tell them what they're there for one by one or else they won't know what they're supposed to do. move while you do this, sway, rub your hands together, generate energy!

Once they're input the lid on and shake the shit outta it! (That's just to mix it all up proper.) And you're done! Slap a label on it if you want!

What I like to use it for

Protection workings.

Cleansing spells.

Banishing's.

Warding.

Forceful purifications. (Aka something between banishing and cleansing a space, a eviction if you will. Yelling at somethings energy to 'get the fuck outta here!' if you will.)

My general thing with hexing is I don't think it's wrong, whoever, I do think it should usually be done to people who've done horrible shit.

For me I usually ask myself, "Would I go into the street and physically beat their ass for this?" If I don't think it'd be worth that I also don't think it's worth my energy to hex or curse them tbh.

For practice though I usually like to make baneful wards. :)

I just wanted to ramble about my thought process on this if I'm honest.

Unblocking Powder.

A how to on my homebrew unblocking powder! I like using this in one ingredient candle spells to get things done quick.

Ingredients & what for

Allspice - adding oomph.

Nutmeg - opening paths.

Clove - banishing.

Coffee (I use the instant kind) - speed, banishing, removing blockages.

Cinnamon - speed & banishing.

Putting the powder together

Find a container you wanna use and cleanse it, then put the ingredients in. Remember to verbally tell them what they're there for, put intention and energy into it (I like to use movement for generating the energy.)

Once they're all in, put the lid on and shake the jar about to mix. Put a label on it if you want and you're done!

What I like to use it for

Removing road blocks and obstacles in my way.

Open roads spells.

Unblockings.

Getting things done quick spells (I've used this to get my power or even wifi back on, when power outages or wifi outages/tec problems happen and it works every time for me.)

This is a good question, I don't believe in the three folds law, and I know karma isn't exactly as it's been spread as. I feel like, in a sense that yes, what goes around comes around in the sense that people will return whatever energy and behavior you give them. That people are the 'karma'/force of justice in the way that they might be mirror your attitude, or send back your energy, or they're guides might rock your shit for attempting to do some kind of injustice to them energetically or so on.

In a spiritual sense, I feel like there's def something there to bite ya in the ass for being a horrible person who hurts people for no reason, but I feel like it acts through people in a way? Like if someone does something cruel to you for no good reason, (I.E you didn't start shit to cause their retaliation first,) it's not coming back on you to toss their shit back onto their side of the yard metaphorically.

Witch's gunpowder

A quick how to on the version of witch's gunpowder I make. This is a modified version of some I found online (I don't remember from who exactly since this was in 2023.), for the sake of not having access to all the ingredients in my area and not having the money for the stuff online.

Ingredients & what for

Black salt or table salt - Protection.

Red pepper flakes - For the heat and punch it has + boosting energy.

Paprika - For heat and punch + boosting energy.

Cheyanne powder - For heat and punch + boosting energy.

Coffee (I use instant) - For speed.

Not in my book but what I'd add nowadays

Clove powder - For that speed, punchy heat and it's 'spikes'.

(You probably don't need all three of the spices, I chose three of them with the same energy/purpose cause I didn't wanna use most or all of my supply of one of them for a decent amount of powder.)

Putting the powder together

Find a jar you wanna use and cleanse it, then start putting the ingredients in! Make sure to verbally tell each what it's there for, put intention and energy into it while doing this, one of my favorite ways to do this is to sway or flick my hands about a bit. (this step is to generate that energy from movement I find helps in my spells.)

Once its all in the jar put the lid on it and shake it to mix up the powder itself! Label the jar if you want!

What I like to use it for

Protection spells + wards.

Baneful wards.

Return to senders.

Any spell that I need done fast and hard.

I suppose I should also make a introduction to myself as a person!

I'm the kind of witch who tries to make due with what I can find in the spice isle at the store or (even more preferable) what I can find at home!

I don't follow things like the 3 folds law or hexing is inherently wrong, I also like to follow mundane before magical first. Modern medicine is important to me and science is too! There's a lot more I probably wanna add here but it's not coming to mind currently, I'll add more thoughts as they come up. Feel free to ask about something if you wanna know though!

Proper introduction!

Hello! I'm Hound, I'm a chaos witch in a rural area! That's what I mostly wanna talk about on this blog, my experience as a witch and finding like minded people to talk to about it!

I've had my own gripes with most the witch communities (discord servers mostly) not being a right fit for me so I decided to make a blog for my craft!

I wanna share ways I've found to make stuff on a budget ranging from my earlier practice to my current one + things I discover along the way!

I don't know everything and I don't feel like I fit as someone to be seen as any kind of teacher at all, but I do wanna share simple enough tricks and tips I found across my time practicing my craft, from one simple kind of witch to hopefully another!

I won't share some specific spells I do step for step, but I'll share modified versions or simple enough ingredients!

Tldr: I mostly I'd like to find people to talk to + share simple tips and tricks I know for accessibility in small towns and witches working on a budget!
