Spirit Animal Message from the WASP! This guy staring at me today outside my window. Here’s my story about my history with wasps... ✨✨✨✨✨ A few years ago I was living in downtown Indianapolis, renting a historic house that was over 100 years old with some roomies. My bedroom was the only one on the first floor, and for some reason, my room became infested with wasps. 100s of them gathered in my room and made it their own— I had to sleep in the living room and only rush into my room to grab my school stuff or some clothes. When I would walk in, the wasps wouldn’t swarm me, but they would watch me as I moved through the room, turning their bodies to face whatever direction I was in. I taped up all of the vents, windows, outlets, and doorways to my room but they still remained for months. Finally one day, I suited up and took them all down with wasp spray. This was right before I moved to Tennessee— I was 21 and living a wild, unsustainable life, walking to the bars almost every night, working full time as a leasing agent at a property just a few blocks from my house, and attending college downtown. What a time! If only I had known what those wasps were trying to tell me. It felt like a curse at the time, but I now recognize it as a blessing. “Lead with your heart, not your mind.” In the blink of an eye, life happened, and I quit my job, packed my things, and moved to Tennessee to be closer my mother and brother, and ultimately, to figure out who I wanted to be. See, I had thought that that wild life was the bee’s knees, and that I had been living the dream. But I lost myself in that night life, too focused on my next bottle of Jameson and which temporary friends were going to be going out with me that night. I lost touch with my roots, with nature, and with my true calling. 🔮🔮🔮 Today’s card— 0–The Wanderer, from the Wild Wood🌲Tarot deck. This is the Fool of the Wild Wood. What a beautiful card, so much symbolism! First thing I noticed was the fog 🌫 in front of this person, yet they appear to be relieved and delighted to begin this journey based on the body language. The clothes are tattered (but still cute!) and to me that tells me that the Wanderer has been through some sh*t!! I think that maybe there was some bondage, represented by the wristbands, that the Wanderer has now been released from. The rainbow 🌈 here also represents some sort of joy or gleeful jump into this unknown journey. It could also represent divine guidance? Lastly, as the Wanderer treks into this unknown Wild Wood, I see a face in the tree in the top right of the picture, which to me symbolizes that we are being watched over by our ancestors or possibly the Green Man? Overall, I think we are excited for this new journey going forward. We are ready to leap out of the sh*tty vibes that were tearing us down. We have a lot of support in this journey through the unknown and we are being divinely guided! 🌹✨🧚‍♂️ My knockouts in front of the house. I take roses when I’m running low and in return I offer my attention and extra water at night. They are vivacious little fellows aren’t they? As of late, I have been taking walks around my house during the day, acquainting myself with the nature spirits that guard my home. Pollinating bees 🐝 are just so adorable, all dusted with pollen, traveling from flower to flower. I got to watch them the other day, what a sight. This stuff is better than anything I can find on TV or online; nature is real and right outside my front door.
