I cant get these two out of my head

during the voting process, he's very clearly averse to going in the arena. when he hears that both pearl and nikos wants to fight, he automatically proposes that they go in the arena instead and he doesn't have to. he repeatedly protests that he doesn't know how to use his abilities and that he doesn't want to fight anyone. in the arena, he tries to escape before realizing he can't. even on the mountain, he sends out the boar in order to prove to everyone that he is in fact Artemis's champion, not because he truly wants to fight. he doesn't resort to threatening actual violence until it becomes very apparent to him that everyone else wants his blessing. And even then, he reasons with cleo and makes a deal with her instead of attacking her.

I want Drift, the sunshiney optimistic one, to be killed in cold blood. For someone to snap her neck brutally and efficiently.

I want Shelby, the one resigned to fate, to be made to choose. Between saving herself and someone else, and for them to refuse to let her let them make the choice for her. For her enemy to force her to take off her blindfold and kill someone she’s grown to care about with her own hands.

I want Nikos, the one so glad to be alive and so smug, to feel pain again. To have his death be drawn out and painful and for him to be begging for them to stop and let him die.

I want Cleo, the distrustful one, to die alone. To be ganged up on, to be cornered and realize that no one is coming to save them. For Abolish to make it back too late to save her and for her to see him coming too late, running to try to make it time, and to realize that the two of them could have been close enough to save each other if they’d been a bit more trusting.

I want Apo to be betrayed again. For her to be in control, to lead the feather holders, to keep her guard up, and to still fail to see when one of them approaches her with a knife.

I want Scott to be ignored. For someone to hear him cry out for help, to know it’s true, and to walk away. For his death not to be dramatic or theatrical, but for them to put a sword in his gut and walk away without a word.
