Actually pretty easy. Trees don’t reject tissue from other trees in the same family. You bend the tree to another tree when it is a sapling, scrape off the bark on both trees where they touch, add some damp sphagnum moss around them to keep everything slightly moist and bind them together. Then wait a few years- The trees will have grown together. You can use a similar technique to graft a lemon branch or a lime branch or even both- onto an orange tree and have one tree that has all three fruits. Frankentrees.

On that note! At the university (UBC) located in town, the Agriculture students were told by their teacher that a tree flipped upside down would die. So they took an excavator and flipped the tree upside down. And it’s still growing. But the branches are now the roots, and the roots are now these super gnarly looking branches. Be afraid.

Sounds like y’all’ve never heard about the Tree of 40 Fruits. Well, it’s exactly as it sounds. Sam Van Aken, an artist based in New York, decided to try his hand at grafting (e.g. the process by which you attach the branches of a different tree to a host tree).

As artists are inclined to do he decided to push some limits and over the course of a few years he grafted over 40 different fruit onto the host “ including almond, apricot, cherry, nectarine, peach and plum varieties.”

It has a fruiting period lasting from July to October and this is what it looks like when blossoming.

Also we have a group called the Guerrilla Grafters. A group who started in San Fransisco with the goal of grafting fruiting branches onto non-fruiting trees of the same type.

Most cities have fruit trees that simply don’t produce fruit because having all these would be a mess and inadvertently providing unregulated food to people comes with a lot of legal risks I suppose. These grafters seem to think otherwise and have taken it upon themselves to try and bring fruit trees back to urban areas.

((let it be known “cult” is a Joke. we jokingly sacrifice and we jokingly worship trees even if we keep it a running gag to pretend it’s real. if this is upsetting this blog is really not the best place to be ;-;))

this blog is dedicated to our friendship, referring to it as a “cult” basically.

it all started a while ago, but that’s a story for a different day... if pizza and/or i feel up to it, maybe one best done in a comic!

we’ll use this blog to put minecraft related things that are related to our projects and everything! probably also just fun things we do with each other, like the “she-ra challenge” pizza just posted! :)

Shera Challenge.... In Sky/Bed wars?

Hey Guys. Pizza here. One of The 4 tree culters and the chosen one. more on that later!

Rose and I just got off a lovely session of minecraft. (You can tell its super late/earlier in the morning when ya read this) It had been awhile since we played sky wars and after pretending to fight on our creative world decided to hop on skywars and last through the game while keeping up a fake fight.

It sounded great. but, we took that up a notch and changed into some Adora (me) And Catra (rose) skins. Man it was fun! though i wish i had some sceen shots to show...but, forgot.

Me and rose went from game to game. doing the absolute best we could to do are part in each game and acting out as many lines in the show as we could.....we got to the forest one time. but, it was a struggle to get that far through bedwars shout chat. (you probably know what im talking about if ya played bedwars) though we were ignored the whole time by others it was a strange and fun....but embarrassing experience haha. we will probably try again knowing us. we shall see.

welp thats all from me. bout time i get to bed. pfft its 3 in the morning.
