I'd love to go somewhere where I can ethically interact with smaller pigs (don't really want to use the term "mini pigs" because even smaller pigs are regularly over 150 lbs), but having them as pets seems daunting unless you have plenty of money, a lot of land, good fencing, and a vet who specializes in treating them nearby. (I love sheep too, but feel the same way about them.)

Big doin's in the foster room yesterday! Not only did Calliope move the kittens out of the crate (to the other side of the room) but ALSO I walked into the room to see Zephyr bellied up to Calliope's plate of canned food - and actually EATING it. And THEN he used the litter box. TWICE! He's the poopin' king, apparently. (Not quite 4 weeks old is definitely earlier than I'm used to seeing a kitten eat, and eat so well at that. Usually they don't even start showing interest in Mom's food until at least 5 weeks. Hopefully his siblings won't be too far behind him.)

I also am considering buying a secondhand Nintendo Switch, but if I'm going to prioritize larger non-essential purchases, I probably need to prioritize getting a new laptop and a bridesmaid's dress for my cousin's wedding. (My cousin is fairly relaxed on dresses as long as they fit her color scheme, but why do so many of them have to be satin and/or form-fitting? Gahhh...)

This is kinda lame but...

Recently found out this fanartist for an anime I really liked as a teenager (the one that's usually summed up as "Lord of the Flies in Space" and that I have pretty mixed feelings about now), took a lot of her art offline. I get it, especially with AI companies scraping art to train their models, but I'm still a bit bummed. (Said fanartist is also a published manga author now and has even had a TV show made based on one of her works, so I get why she'd want to protect her art if AI scraping was her reason for doing so.)
