Alright folks I'm back! Kinda. Time to play catch up and boy do I have a backlog. Last year I did a fantastic workshop with @watersidemetalart & @musesofmystery to forge a wand in dedication to Brigid. Now for those of you who know about my Pagan Ways™ should have guessed I don't really do much with gods outside of the Nordic or Egyptian pantheons, but I do have a few who are very special to me, and Brigid is most definitely That. I credit Her for dragging me (or nagging me) gently from the age of 12 to around 15-16 when I decided Catholicism was bullshit and fuck all y'all I'm a witch now. The workshop was incredible, and I had SO MUCH FUN! 🤩 I definitely want to sign up for classes in the future because this is a skill I would love to hone. While it's not perfect, I'm damn proud of how it turned out and I am particularly happy with my twisted section. It's lovely to just...caress. Happy Spring Equinox! 💚 I made an attempt at an apple and raspberry tart, it certainly wasn't bad for a first go, but there's definitely room for improvement. I draped Sutekh's altar in jasmine, one of my favourite flowers, and its scent is beautiful and intoxicating. We had an earthquake on Wednesday morning. It was so exciting and invigorating I felt like something primal was filling me with energy. I have not felt so alive in months. YEARS even. My tarot reading revealed the Tower and the Star to me. Now...normally the Tower freaks me out a bit, but this time, it was very welcome. It's been a while since my gorgeous tagelharpa from @lyre_of_the_crossroads arrived. It's so beautiful! It's definitely tricky to learn, so no audio tests to share just yet. 😝 I need to get a better tuner though. The one I have really struggles to pick up sound, it makes just tuning it more complex than it should be. The bindrune on the back matches the one I have tattooed on my wrist. Sort of like my own signature I guess? I came up with it at 3 am a few years back while completely delirious. An Imbolc altar! Set up over a number of days and coming to its crux this evening. Good lord that was emotional. But in a very good, cleansing way. The tarot reading was a spontaneous idea and it kinda blew me away. I found it very comforting. 💛 I made more bannock and candles as per my own tradition, and bought a delicious truffled sheep's cheese. 🤤 I think I've found my new favourite! An extraordinarily late Yule post. I have been very busy and so it's taken me two weeks to actually get everything done. The crap weather didn't help at all. 😑 But it's done!
