In the new Doomsday trailer they’ve shown at sdcc, they’ve included EXACTLY the same clip of Loki… (sigh) Poor darling, he’s only going to have one scene in the whole film and then he’ll die, even though he’s the god of stories and should be at the forefront of the universe. How sad.
In fact, being a Loki fan means being emotionally resilient and patient. In every project featuring the character, he’s suffered or been killed off. The number of times we’ve had to say goodbye to him and believe it was all over. So let’s not even imagine how Tom Hiddleston must have felt each time, knowing that he loves his character just as much as we do.
His death in *Infinity War* is still a traumatic moment even in 2026 for me, and his umpteenth sacrifice – being stuck in a tree forever – really took its toll on my mental health. I love Loki so much, sorry, but I can’t bear to see my favourite character go through this yet again – having his heart ripped out or whatever – whether through sacrifice once again or whatever rubbish they’re making us swallow, count me out.
When the film *Doomsday* comes out, I’ll look up every spoiler I can find to find out, and if that’s the case, I won’t go and see the film at all. Even though he’ll probably be brought back to life in *Secret Wars* (let’s all keep our fingers crossed), but until then, that's it.
