Andromeda â The Prisoner â Played by Red

The Prisoner was a strange case for Brattington. They mastered general magic quickly, one of the youngest students ready to graduate, but their affinity was a different story. They donât have control of it still, and it is dangerous enough that no one, even them, thought it a good idea for them to head back out into the world yet. It has been theorized that it is something internal that is preventing them from mastering their affinity - something from their past that is holding them  back, but the Prisoner has never been willing to talk about it. As a compromise for their situation, the Prisoner agreed to continue to train with someone privately at the school while taking up a job on campus. They have been running the cafĂŠ since, watching hundreds of other students arrive and depart, nothing chaining them to this school like in the case of the Prisoner.Â
Lacerta: The Lizard may be chaotic, often in an intimidating way to the Prisoner, but their ability to control their magic regardless of their scattered thoughts has brought out a curiosity in the Prisoner. They thought that maybe if they studied the Lizard, they might figure out the key to controlling their own powers, but no luck so far. Maybe itâs worth getting a little closer to the Lizard and seeing if they have an advice for someone whose heart is as chaotic as the Lizardâs mind.
Cancer: The Prisoner has been training with the Crab privately for over a year now, trying to get their affinity under control. Nothing has seemed to work, but the Crab keeps giving them hope that change is always right around the corner. It feels foolish to believe in such a thing when cursed with repetitive failure, but thereâs something about the Crab that feels genuine enough to make the Prisoner want to believe them.Â
Cepheus: When they first met, the Prisoner wanted to try to be friends with the King. They seemed sweet and trustworthy⌠But as soon as the King got involved with the Queen, any possibility of that seemed gone forever. The King turned into a completely different person and the Prisoner gets the feeling that the King and Queen are involved in something terrible. The Prisoner tries to mind their own business, but their past has made them question what decisions they risk making in the present.

Pretty Monsters
Itâs 3am, the night is silent, the only players on this lovely moonlit stage the ever present chorus. Chirping and trilling in mass, as is in their nature, the brunette sits alone. Her hands tremble, nearly imperceptible, as the square carton catches the light, once, twice, each time meeting the brunettes hand with a familiar and thundering crack in the silence.Â
The brunettes moon-washed skin disappears into a hoodie too dark to blend in with the night and emerges with a silver lighter bearing the word BIC on the side. One flick, two, three, and the flame catches. She stares into the flame for a moment willing understanding to emerge from it and awash her with answers. When they donât come, she lights the cigarette, placing it between her lips with the ever so satisfying burn of her lungs. So lost, she doesn't notice the person nearby.
Normally Genevieve wasnât the type to go about finding trouble for herself. But with the Solstice fast approaching and a widely publicized party in the works her curiosity was beyond peaked. She had seen it for several nights; the girl knew how others pictured the event and her spirits were eager to experience the festivities.  So here she was the girl who normally avoided trouble sneaking in to an event restricted to academy students. âThis weather is fantastic.â Gene mused taking in the fresh air and observing the surroundings.
âLuckily.â
The brunette steps into the light, the tree swaying in the gentle breeze behind her. The cafe had been a ghost town, her only company the occasional clank of silverware being washed. This late in the day, when the sun began itâs bloody descent below the horizon, everyone was either at the lake, or getting ready to go to the lake. Riya first sneaked into the event as an academy student, so when she found a poor misguided academy student not quite at the party yet, she couldnât help but relate.
âYouâre an Academy student, yea?â A slight tug turns the brunettes expression into that of a mischievous grin, though it doesnât reach itâs way quite to her eyes, and she responds before the other has a chance to. âNo worries, I wonât tell.âÂ
If the moon smiled, she would resemble you. You leave the same impression of something beautiful, but annihilating.
