INTJ

Hmm. That's an interesting situation because for me personally, the idea of confessing to, confiding in, and requesting an opinion and/or guidance is something that makes me very vulnerable. A feeling I dislike greatly unless in the company of someone I trust and care for dearly. Even then, I don't like it. More that I allow it as a show of that trust.

So to have an INTJ do this but not consider you a friend, or have reservations concerning you being one is peculiar.

Perhaps it is a test? I am giving you this little part of myself, what will you do with it? Will you care for it and see how much it matters? Or will you treat it flippantly thus giving me proof to burn a bridge? Maybe, maybe not.

Or maybe they do consider you a friend deep down but haven't acknowledged it mentally yet. Perhaps they are leery of friendships. Maybe they don't have the same reservations as I do concerning vulnerabilities and don't mind laying themselves out in order to gain more knowledge of a situation.

Lot's of reasons but none I could say for sure.

I wouldn't consider anything concerning relationships "typical" for the sole reason that, in being human, the variables are endless. I would however consider INTJxENFP relationships to be a stereotype. Accurate sometimes -even frequently- but not necessarily the be-all-end-all holy grail of INTJ partnership it's often portrayed as.

A healthy, functioning relationship between any type is just as valid.

However... I think this combination is frequently used because our cognitive functions line up so well making it easier to allow for relationship possibilities.

INTJs being Ni, Te, Fi, Se and ENFP Ne, Fi, Te, Si

Intuition being both of our main functions with ENFPs being in the moment, how does this apply now, kind of thinking and INTJs, what got us to this point and how do the things around apply to the future. A good mix provided you're willing to listen and take what the other says as valid.

And then with ENFPs having feeling as their second function - the same way of feeling that INTJs have- it allows for... tempering. Same with INTJs and their thinking being second. They both have the same type of reasoning and the same mode of feeling. It allows for... seamless melding? For lack of better words.

And I'm going to completely skip over sensing because I am really bad at that bit. Like... stereotypically but worst bad and I don't even know how it would apply. 😂

Therefore you always have a bottle of eye drops on you should the occasion arise in which crying would be the correct emotional response. Just a quick trip to the backroom, drop drop, BOOM.

Proper emotional response.

Yeah, yeah, I know. But you all are smart and I keep second guessing the medication dosage for my chicken's.
