Fun fact: Whisperain has unused sprites! If you look at phantom’s and her ingame oprec you’ll notice that Whisperain does not use any additional expression sprites. Note that in Whisperain’s oprec(released during SN) every character in the oprec uses their default sprites.

Also Whisperain’s talk after E1 voiceline is so funny to me because of how overt the implication is. “There is still something in my blood.” Said the Ægir character with a mysterious past of which we do not know who proceeded to get a skin called priory of abyss which features a Church of the deep member and says that despite that being a role shes playing for a DND campaign sounds oddly well done and features Skadi the corrupted heart + mizuki’s symbols on her keys who then got her voiceline tweaked to sound more definitive about the sea being a stygian nightmare thats bound to consume everything.

But yknow, its ambiguous and could mean anything. Leading to a relevant question:

If Whisperain went on an operation with an abyssal hunter. Would they technically be able to know if she was a seaborn hybrid of some sort?

openmw is a full replacement of the engine, which means it can do a lot of things that couldn't be done within morrowind's original engine. mwse is a modification for the engine that allows for a lot of impressive things, but openmw is a lot more flexible in the longterm, a lot more performant in most areas, and a lot more stable, all of which are pretty convincing arguments to me

you do miss out on some older mods because they use mwse lua rather than openmw lua (still quite miffed about the tattoo mod for example), or otherwise require features that are still work in progress, but the word on the wind is that openmw is the future, so a lot of modders are shifting over to it
