New Horizon

Continuing to learn how to make digital art starting with the character I swear is the most difficult to draw in the franchise.

What started with a character study of Kotallo had to have a background with full color. I need to figure out my line work for next time but I keep getting ahead of my skill level.

For now, trying to figure out my style and color balance. Alternative color balance below for reference.

I’ve learned again that learning to draw is difficult and I feel like a grandma when I try to draw on a tablet, but the learning process is fun. If nothing else, I’m especially fond of the far left tree.

Drawing a quick sketch of my favorite Tenakth as imagined in the third Horizon installment.

Imagining Kotallo taking a moment to himself to think and process his new role as ambassador to the Sundom as things potentially unravel in the capital. I’m intrigued by what his role could look like in Meridian navigating both preparations for Nemesis and Carja politics, but for right now wanted to see him looking less battlefield ready and more as a person processing how to help stop the end of the world (again).
