"What?  You thought something was gonna happen?"

“That… Is also not reasonable…” Her voice became quieter. She doesn’t always defend someone so persistently; it was kind of foreign to her. Jealous, much?

"Oh, come on!  You need to lighten up!  You're supposed to be having fun, remember?"  Either way, it didn't bother him that much.

"What?  You thought something was gonna happen?"

“That doesn’t exactly give anyone permission to do that.” Just keep finding reasons and maybe you can come up with a good one. Probably.

"So?  We also know each other, and it's not like something like that would really pan out."  He'd been coming to this place for years, and as he said, situations like that rarely amounted to anything.  Sure, there were a few occasions where it did, but Kassim didn't count those in the big scheme of things.

"What?  You thought something was gonna happen?"

“They were hitting on you.” That was rather flat, wasn’t it? Not like that wasn’t unexpected.

"We're in a bar.  What else do you expect?"  After a few drinks, anybody was fair game.

"What?  You thought something was gonna happen?"

“No… I didn’t. I just thought I could help you out, maybe…”

"It's not like there was anything going on.  Just stop worrying, alright?"

“Hope? I didn’t see as much when I first came here,” Morgiana commented. “…The people in your group, however, appeared much more determined than they may have been once, right?”

"Determined?  I'd say more impatient than anything.  They heard what's going on between Ahbmad and that Kou princess."  If they did get married, that was it for the Fog Troupe.  There'd be nothing they could do without triggering the wrath of somebody other than a king who could barely do his job.  "We're as good as dead when they get married."

"Fitting in?  As in going along with what the Kou Empire is doing?  You might not have noticed, but they're assholes." No matter what, he couldn't agree with what they were doing.  He'd experienced it firsthand, and that was something he'd never want to happen again.  "You know that one of the best ways to take down an enemy is to find their biggest weakness, right?  What better way to do that than to destroy them from the inside?"
